Shelagh woke up in a bright room, she couldn't feel her husband's arms around her or his weight next to her on the bed. She went to put on her glasses and realized her hands were strapped down onto a hard metal table, her heart started to beat faster and faster, she started to thrash and scream for help until her throat hurt. A woman in a nurses uniform walked into the cold cell,
''Sister calm yourself, it's another episode it'll be over soon'' Shelagh stopped, she hadn't been adressed by 'sister' in just over two years.
''W-what did you just call me...?'' she asked hoarsely, her head started spinning again but it might have been from hitting her head against the metal table. she must have misheard 'Shelagh' and heard 'Sister' that's possible right? she hoped so...
''Again? You are Sister Bernadette, of St Raymond Nonatus church. you are a trained nurse. you're in Linchmere Mental Health Hospital with a diagnosis of depression. you're actually not the first nun from your church to be sent here!'' the nurse chuckled turning to a medical tray looking at some notes.
''what...? N-no.. I'm Shelagh Turner... I left Nonatus over two years ago!'' Shelagh stuttered
''I have.. three beautiful children and a husband! Dr. Patrick Turner he works in Poplar east London...'' Shelagh trailed off, she was starting to doubt herself, was her whole family a story she had written in her head to save herself from depression?
''Sister, Doctor Patrick turner killed himself shortly after the death of his wife and child. You were diagnosed with Tuberculosis, leaving scarring making it practically impossible to have children.'' The nurse said kindly, spikes of pain went through Shelagh, he couldn't be gone... Timothy and Patrick had to be alive... She couldn't say anything, just whimper, grief overtook her body and reality sunk in... Shelagh started to scream, and thrash against her bonds, the nurse sighed and picked up a rubber mouth guard from the metal table, Shelagh gasped
''No--!'' she was cut off by the muffling gag. the nurse picked up the conductors and pressed them against Shelagh's temples, turning the dial to 7.
