Patrick's tireless begging was driving Shelagh insane so she finally agreed to go to work with him, just to work as the receptionist so she wouldn't be away from him but still keeping busy. at around lunch time Patrick came out of his office to spend some time with his beautiful wife.
'

'Hello dearest, how have you been doing in here?'' He asked warmly sitting on one of the waiting chairs and gesturing for her to do the same, Shelagh sat down next to her husband

''Good! actually, I have to admit that I feel a lot better than I have since the baby was born.'' She nodded inhaling deeply through her nose, Patrick smiled obviously relieved that she was doing better, Shelagh put her hand on his knee
''That's brilliant!'' he sighed kissing his wife.
''I hope so. anyway we've got a child with the last name of Peeler to come in with the measles. so I've called clinic so they know we could have a potential outbreak on our hands.'' Shelagh said standing up to find the file, Patrick cursed under his breath putting his palm to his forehead, dreading the piles of new paperwork in his future.
''If we are I'll have to make some calls.'' Patrick sighed standing up and kissing his wife again.
''I'm sorry dear, we'll have dinner later to make up for it I promise!'' he reassured her taking the files out of her hands dragging himself into his office closing the door behind him. Shelagh smiled to herself, feeling thirsty she went to get a cup of water from the kettle and relaxed behind the desk, unfortunately her rest was not for long as one of their expectant mothers Libby Boyd pushed open the door groaning, accompanied by her husband Jeremy Boyd.
''Mrs. Boyd? what ever is the matter?'' Shelagh gasped putting down her glass and quickly standing up
''It's the baby nurse! He's coming!" Jeremy clarified, as far as Shelagh knew there was no reason to come to here, the whole family were perfectly healthy.
''May I ask why you walked such a long way when you could've telephoned a midwife?'' She asked letting Libby lean on her as they made their way into the delivery room.
''Her waters broke as we were walking home from the bakery!" Jeremy replied, Patrick heard the commotion outside and was quickly standing with the others.
''darli-- um, Doctor. no need to worry mother and baby are perfectly healthy, I'll see to it Libby has her child in arms in no time at all!'' Shelagh informed him, trying her best to sound professional in front of the others, Patrick nodded taking poor Jeremy into the waiting room for a cup of tea.
''Okay Libby, lets get you a baby." Shelagh smiled warmly.

A few hours and a lot of pushing later Libby was holding her beautiful baby girl. Shelagh left the new family alone to bond, and so she could sit down.
''Healthy 7.5 pound baby, little girl, Name: Sienna Boyd, Born on the seventh of the...'' She spoke out loud writing notes for the baby trailing off when she spotted Patrick sitting in the corner watching her write, A look of admiration on his face.
''You handled that like a star'' He grinned standing up and hugging her from behind, Shelagh looked up at her husband kissing him,
''Well I wasn't quiet expecting it but we managed.'' She said laughing slightly. Patrick grinned at his wife
"You always do."
