Later
Patrick had just gotten Beatrix to sleep, and had went to lie down himself when he heard the door click quietly shut and soft footsteps approach his room. Shelagh pushed the door open exhaling heavily when she saw her husband smile, Patrick stood up and hugged his wife tightly
"I'm sorry." He said softly
"You shouldn't be... You have a duty to your patients and I was making it difficult" Shelagh whispered into his shoulder though her words were muffled he heard her as clear as crystal."Not for that, what I said about Beatrix." He said breaking their embrace and looking into her eyes sincerely, Shelagh tried to think of something to comforting him but nothing came to mind, sometimes when people apologize it should be left at that so she just nodded acceptingly a little later the couple climbed into bed
''I assume Sister Julienne had something to do with the reason you're sleeping in the same bed as me tonight?'' Patrick ventured as Shelagh snuggled backward into her husband's arms.
''You would be correct, She said that you always try to help people and you have so much to do because of the epidemic and all, I overreacted and it was unfair, but blame the hormones for that.'' She sighed staring at the bed side table with her glasses and the letter she had been sent by Patrick in the sanatorium.
