Chapter 17

Sapphires POV
I feel myself fall into the pitch-black hole I call sleep but as I feel my body relax and my mind guard vanishes, a hand taps my shoulder and a familiar British accent says in almost whispering I got you something and the smell of Panda Express fills my nose making my mouth water. Okay maybe I am hungry I say grabbing it and seeing the pale hand of Mrs.G retracting, I see her nod telling me to go ahead and dig in and she walks off I'm guessing to talk to some of the teachers so I rummage through the bag finding a bowl of rice and orange chicken and a fork. My eyes widen, this is my favorite I wonder how she knew I shake it off eh who cares I guess it doesn't matter how she knew I'm just hungry so I scarf it down and as I'm eating my best friend Payton sits down smiling but throwing a confused look at the bowl of chicken and rice. Did your brother come up here I hear her ask me, no? I  suppress a blush please don't ask how I got it I almost beg...I see her shrug and say okay so I turn back around so I'm sitting straight and I look down at the bag with the panda logo on it seeing a folded up note poking up so I cautiously pick it up and unfold it seeing neat handwriting
I hope you enjoyed the food I brought my princess and sorry if I startled you I just saw you walk away from the food  lines with a saddened expression so I ran down to Panda Express and kind of got the plainest thing they have and that just happened to be the Orange chicken and rice and I got you a coke but I don't think a nap and soda mix I know since you're so tired soda will give you a headache so I got you some sweet tea and I set it under the table behind you're legs

I smile and quickly stuff the letter into my pocket I reach down to find the sweet tea and I slurp it down
