"What the heck?! Ang dami naman nito"
Sigaw ni Ella matapos kong ilapag ang bill ng mga inoorder niya sa coffee shop ko.
"Bakit ka nagrereklamo? You ate those food... Alone."
Sabi ko sabay pamewang.
"No. I don't want to pay you."
Depensa niya sabay cross arm.
"What?! Besh naman, malulugi ako."
Reklamo ko. She rolled her eyes. (Iba talaga to)
"Dennise will pay you for me, just wait"
Said Ella. Napataas naman ang isang kilay ko. (Gumagamit pa talaga sya ng ibang pangalan para bayaran ang katakawan niya.
"Who's Dennise?"
I asked her and sit beside her.
"Ay,, oo nga pala. You don't know her. She's my friend kase from US pero she went here dahil dito na daw sya magtatrabaho."
Explained Ella.
"Ah.. So, pupunta sya dito ngayon?"
I asked her again.
"Yep,"
"Okay, CR lang ako"
I made my way to the comfort room as I look at my reflection at the mirror, inayos ko yung ilang hibla ng buhok ko na nakabagsak and konting wash ng kamay then done.
Suddenly, my phone vibrates.
From: Besh Ella.
Come here. Nandito na siya.
Binulsa ko naman ang phone ko at lumabas na ng cr. Pagkalapit ko sa table ni Ella nakikipag-usap sya sa isang girl. I guess She's Dennise. She's beautiful.
Napatingin naman sakin si Dennise kaya napalingon din sakin si Ella.
"Besh Den, si Alyssa pala"
Sabi ni Ella at ngumiti ng nakakaloko . (what's wrong with Ella?)
Tumingin naman sakin si Dennise.
"Alyssa Valdez?"
She asked me with a smirk.
"Yes? May problema ba?"
Tanong ko naman.
"Wala. I thought --- oh never mind."
Sabi nito pagkatapos akong i-head to foot. Wow?! Ang rude niya.
"Ehem"
Singit ni Ella.
"Alyssa si Besh Den, Dennise Lazaro"
Okay, my turn.
"So you're Dennise Lazaro? "
Taas kilay kong tanong.
"Yes. You own this?"
Tanong niya at inikot ang kanyang paningin sa coffee shop ko.
"Yes, well, ano gusto mong drinks pala?"
I asked.
"Uhm no, thanks"
"Ako Besh! I want frappe"
Ella's butted in.
I gave her tumahimik-ka-jan look, nag-peace sign naman ito at ngumiti ng nakakaloko.
"Oh. Well, Napanood na kita sa TV, the phenom? "
She said.
"Ah so you're a fan of mine pala?"
I said with a smirk at naupo sa katapat na upuan niya so bale, magkatabi na kami ni Ella na busy sa pagkalikot ng phone niya.
"Ah well I'm not. Once lang yon when I'm in Hospital."
Confident na sagot niya.
"Ah doctor ka?"
I asked again.
"Yes. I am Dra. Dennise Lazaro.. Nice to meet you The Great Alyssa Valdez..."
Sabi nito sabay lahad ng kamay niya.
Inabot ko naman ang kamay niya pero nagulat ako ng bigla nya itong binawi.
"Wait? Is there anything wrong?"
I asked worriedly
"No. Wala. Don't mind me.*looks at Ella * Besh I have to go"
Sabi Nito at isinukbit na ang bag niya.
"Hah? Bakit? May pupuntahan ka pa ba? I thought you were free today?"
Gulat na tanong ni Ella.
"Uhm I forgot ,I have to fix things pa pala para sa hospital na papasukan ko. Well, thanks Alyssa. Nice to meet you.. Ella bye!"
"Dennise"
I called her name kaya napalingon sya kahit nasa bandang pinto na sya. I ran to her.
"Uhm can I have your number?"
Whaaat?! Alyssa? Kanina nabubwisit ka sa kanya tapos ngayon you want her number?
Sabat ng konsensya ko.
"Uh-oh. Well, the phenom is asking for my number"
Sabi nito.
"Uhm no its not that. Hindi yon-- well ano-kase yung bayad ng in-order ni Ella. Yon! Right!"
Mentally face palmed.
Buti na lang nakapagpalusot ako 😪
She looked at Ella's direction pero nag-iwas ng tingin ito.
"Oh how much?"
"1,054."
Lulubog nako sa kahihiyan. This is Ella's fault. Napaka-Ewan naman kasi ng palusot ko.
"Oh"
Agad naman syang kumuha ng pera sa wallet niya.
"Here, 2000. Keep the change"
Sabi nito at ngumiti ng mapang-asar. Nako! I guess She's thinking right now na mukhang pera ako.
"Wait,"
May kinuha pa ito sa bag niya.
She handed me a card.
"It's my number."
Huli niyang sabi at ngiting tagumpay na lumabas sa coffee shop ko. And me? I'm speechless.
Naramdaman ko naman na may nag-tap ng balikat ko. It's Ella.
"Lazaro-1 Valdez-0"
She said and sticked out her tongue. And left the coffee shop
