I woke up early, a mental alarm going off in my head. I knew I had to get to the airport. As soon as I rolled out of Anthony's arms, he opened his eyes.
Note: Anthony's a light sleeper.
He rubbed his eyes, and sat up. He watched me, then his mouth frowned. He remembered what today was.
Anthony exhaled loudly, and looked down at his chest. I could hear him sniffle, but decided not to say anything. I was going to have to be strong today.
With much dread, I pulled back the sheets and climbed out of bed. I forced myself to look for clothing.
I took out a pair of sweat pants, my black hoodie and some sneakers. When I turned around to face Anthony, his eyes were blank and cold. I sighed, and looked down and my toes, trying to think.
Anthony sniffled again, and I looked up to meet his face once more. I pushed my feet towards him, and motioned for him to stand up. He did as I said, but stood 5 inches taller than me.
I looked into his eyes and tried to shine as much light in mine as his usually did. My arms wrapped around his waist, as my head pressed against his chest.
I didn't want to say anything. What could I say? My head tried to search for words that would be appropriate, that would mean something to him.
To no avail, my mind was blank.
I pulled away, and placed Anthony's finger tips on the bottom of my shirt, and urged him to pull it over my head.
He did that, too. His eyes fell down my body, filling his eyes with hunger.
I had to leave soon, but I wanted as much time with Anthony as I could consume.
He managed to smile, whilst his hands traveled to my butt. I laughed lightly and hugged him again. I was going to miss this fucker so much.
"You have to get dressed now." His voice was like a cold knife.
I nodded against him, and kissed the smooth skin on his chest. He released his grip, and let me get dressed.
I pulled on my clothing and threw my hair up into a pony tail.
Anthony carried my bags, as he was determined to take me to the airport to see me off.
I was sad to see my time with him go by so quickly. 2 days, and so many kisses.
The drive to the airport was quiet, and over too quickly.
I grabbed my bags and walked inside with Anthony. He checked me in and then walked to me to security, where we would depart from each other.
I stood in front of him, trying to think of anything to do, or say that would make this moment unforgettable, but I was drawing a blank again.
Thank god Anthony pulled through.
He swiftly pulled me against him, his lips colliding with mine, as his hands pressed into my back possessively.
I was completely drowning in his love, but I was okay with losing my breath to it.
When I had had my fill, I pulled away from his mouth. I kissed his cheek, and whispered in his ear, "Remember me, and I will remember you."
I looked into his eyes one last time through my glossy tears, feeling a terrible soreness in my chest.
I could tell Anthony was dying just as many deaths as I, but I had to go.
A weak smile spread across my lips, but I turned around and dashed off to my plane.
Heart break was all I knew for the flight back.
