Anthony and I waved goodbye to everyone as we leaned up against the black limo that was going to take us to the airport. I had changed into a white pair of dress pants and a pale pink sweater- something I would rather die than wear.

Clara ran up to my legs and hugged me tightly in her frilly pink dress.

"Bye Aunt Lilly!!" She smiled.

I kneeled down and hugged her back, rubbing her back in circles. "Bye sweetheart."

She went on to say goodbye to Anthony, and I said goodbye to Flea, then Chad, Dave and then my John. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me against his chest so nicely, I fit in them like a missing key to a door's lock. I laughed when he squeezed me tighter and wiggled my body around.

When I pulled away, I caught a few tears gleaming in his eyes.

"Hopefully it won't be long before we see each other again." I smiled, and kissed his cheek.

He nodded. "Call me when you land."

I looked at my loved ones gathered around outside and smiled. How blessed I was to make it this far.

*************

We landed in Hawaii early on in the day and rented out the room we stayed in the last time we had been here when Anthony and I both clicked as a couple. Time to replenish the nights of sex we had, once again, eh?

I walked in and set my bags down by the couches, and turned around and smiled at Anthony. He was watching out the window, admiring the puffy white clouds that floated on the majestic blue sky. I was too busy admiring the way his silky brown hair that had been a little highlighted from the sun, hanging over his shoulders. His eyes were crinkling as he smiled at the birds that landed outside on our balcony railing.

My body exhaled a deep breath and I pulled my suitcase into the bedroom where I began to strip down. I changed into a cropped white tank top and then a blue maxi skirt and walked back into the living room where Anthony no longer was.

"Babe?" I called.

No answer.

"Anthony? Where are you?"

I walked around the suite, but found him nowhere. A little disappointed and confused, even frustrated, I slipped on sandals and decided to go downstairs to the bar for a drink. The plane ride had taken its toll and I definitely needed something to settle the jittery feeling in my stomach.

I sat down on a stool and watched the dozens of people scatter in an out from the bar and the beach. It was rush hour for beach people apparently. I ordered some kind of fruity drink with fruit juice and vodka, which turned out to be wonderful. I finished that up, and when I concluded that Anthony would be upset if I went and did anything else without him, I went back up to the room.

The curtains were pulled closed, blocking any chance of sunlight. Candles were lit everywhere, and it smelled like vanilla. But where was Anthony?
