The frail body of the boy shook as he stepped into the fairly large basement of the stranger.
Joshua would like to say he knew what he was doing, but he didn't know, not at all.
Once the door was locked and closed, Joshua scurried towards the rack full of blankets by the bathroom, plucking out a white one.
"Here," he said throwing the blanket over the boy, watching as he clutched onto it with shaky hands.
"You um...can just sit over there," Joshua exclaimed, nodding towards the small couch in front of the stairs.
The boy nodded, hesitantly walking towards the brown couch.
"I'm gonna go get some clothes for you, if that's ok."
The brunette boy nodded once again, sitting on the couch and staring at the ground.
Joshua nodded, beginning to climb up the steps.
"Joshua! There you are! Why are you coming from the basement?" His mother asked, crossing her arms as she walked towards him from the living room.
"I um...I just um, feel like sleeping there tonight, so I went through the basement door," he lied through his teeth, fiddling with his pockets.
His mom nodded, satisfied with the answer, before kissing him on the cheek quickly.
"Ok hun, well I'm gonna go ahead and sleep, remember I leave tomorrow for my break."
Josh's mom decided to have a small vacation with her sister, and as much as she worried about Josh, she trusted him.
He nodded, waiting for his mom to leave.
"Ok, goodnight hun, sleep tight."
As soon as him mother closed her bedroom door, Josh sped to his room, picking out a pair of sweatpants and a random black shirt.
He hurried back downstairs, clothes in his hands as he spotted the boy in the same position as before.
"Here, you can put these on," Joshua exclaimed, handing the boy the clothes.
The boy bit his lip, grabbing the clothes and looking down once again.
"I um...you can change in the bathroom, it's right over there," Joshua exclaimed, running his fingers through his blue curls.
The brunette nodded, standing up with his expression unreadable, before heading towards the bathroom.
The blue haired boy waited for a few minutes on the couch, before the door opened, the skinny boy standing by the door frame with Joshua's clothes on.
"Y-You can sit over here, are you hungry?"
