The brunette stared at the stack of papers layed before him, and decided to lift one up.

It was his curiosity that always got the best of him when he did such things. When he lifted it up, he saw a drawing. It was a drawing of him. It was perfect, it had every detail of himself, and maybe even more.

But looking at it thoroughly, he realized it was not only him. It was a creature too. It had dark brown eyes, and brown hair, just like Tyler.

It wasn't him though, and it wasn't human either. You wouldn't be able to know though, because he looked human.

He didn't speak, neither of them did.

They spoke with their eyes.

Come back.

No.

You need to come back, they are gonna hurt you if you don't.

I don't want to go back.

I'll help you.

Tyler's eyes slowly fluttered open, Joshua's back being the first thing he saw.

He was asleep, his breaths slow and steady. Light was coming through the blinds, and the room was quiet, besides the sounds of the blue haired boys small snores.

The brunette sighed, moving his position so that he was now on his back, his hands resting on his own chest.

He looked up at the ceiling, remembering his dream. It wasn't a nightmare, it didn't scare him. It made him curious though. Because he knew who the boy was.

The ruffling of sheets along with a yawn was heard, as Joshua stretched.

The brunette turned his head, seeing the blue haired boy sitting up.

"Hey," he exclaimed, looking down at the drowsy looking boy.

"H-Hi."

Tyler began to sit up himself, pulling his lifting shirt down.

"Did you sleep okay?"

The brunette nodded, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

"That's good."

Tyler watched as the slightly shorter boy stood up, making his way towards the door.

"I'll make some breakfast today."

°°°

"Here, i um...made you some waffles."

The brunette smiled up at Joshua, who handed him a blue plastic plate with a large waffle on it.

"Thank you," he whispered, abesently taking the bottle of syrup and pouring a large portion of the hazel treat onto his breakfast.

The blue haired boy smiled, chuckling under his breath before serving his own breakfast.

They both sat at the wooden table, the sound of chewing and shuffling being the only thing heard throughout the house.

"Where's Ruby?" The brunette suddenly asked, gulping down his last piece of food.

"Oh! That reminds me, I need to go feed her, she's probably downstairs."

Tyler nodded, watching as the boy with hazel eyes got out of his chair and made his way downstairs, making sure the table was clean before doing so.

He left Tyler alone, making his way down the stairs. He called out her name as he walked down the steep steps, looking around the large basement.

His blue locks fell onto his face as he titled his head, furrowing his brows as he spotted the stump figure of the cat.

"Ruby?"

He walked closer to the cat, his broad shoulders losing their posture and his closed mouth dropping at the sight.

The small furry creature that was before a energetic companion, was now dead.

Not breathing. Not moving.

Joshua screamed.
