Unknown POV
Everything was cold. Everything was dark, I couldn't see anything around me. I was sitting against a wall and had been for a while. My concept of time had been altered, I didn't know whether I had been there for hours or days.
"Hello?" I called quietly for the hundredth time... no answer.
The only sound was the gentle dripping of water coming from the ceiling and splashing to the ground. After a while I started to count the drips and how long it took between each splash of water.
"161...162...163" I whispered,
I questioned myself over and over again on how I had got here, I didn't remember walking into a dark and cold room and being locked inside. Who had locked me inside? Who was I? The more I thought about the second question the more the answer felt like it was drifting away.
"527...528...529" I continued,
After a while my thirst started to get to me... There was no doubt that this was the thirstiest I had been. My throat was burning.
I tried to ignore it by focusing on counting the dripping water.
"1004...1005...1006...1007" but I lost count because I suddenly heard a noise coming from outside the room. Before I could call there was a voice.
"Most people who are in there are driven crazy by that dripping water." It was a male's voice, deep and rich.
Suddenly I was blinded by bright lights. My eyes had got so used to the darkness that they started burning.
My eyes were hidden behind my arm as I tried to protect them from the light but I could hear that someone was walking towards me. He stopped once he got very close to me and paused.
"But you're different.' The voice said.
Hello guys (I need to come up with a new introduction xD)! Sorry this was such a short chapter but I don't want to give a lot away (although most of you can probably guess what just happened because I suck at giving subtle clues haha)
In this chapter I would like to shout out multiple people. These guys have supported this book even if it's literally a vote on a chapter x
