Chapter One

*~ Jay's POV ~*

"Shh, do you want to get caught?" I question Ed. We quietly scale the side of the house. I look over at Ed to see a terrified look on his face. I smirk to myself as I laugh under my breath, what a coward! The red headed wimp can't even face me without looking like a scared little puppy. Ha!

"N-no." He mutters while shaking his shaggy haired head side to side. I roll my eyes at him. God and they call him 'fearless'. He's about as fearless as a Scooby-Doo and Shaggy. You know the two cowards who are always terrified of everything? Yup, well Ed resembles them perfectly. I turn my head away from him and look around the dark yard.

"Follow me." I instruct Ed. I move forward about an inch but then a trembling hand on my arm stops me.

"B-but we'll g-get c-caught."Ed tells me in a trembling scaredy-cat voice. I roll my eyes at him again as I shake my head. I try to shake his hand off my arm but he doesn't move it.

"Get your god damn hand off of me." I commanded him in a drop dead serious voice. Ed immediately drops his scrawny hand. I huff and turn away from the dweeb. "If you must know I've already got this all planned out, as long as you don't screw up we'll be fine."

"Did you ever think that telling me the plan would make it less likely for me to screw up?" He tries to point out. I smirk again but keep my back to him.

"I did, but if you knew the plan you'd mess it up." I tell him and start walking forward again. This time he doesn't say anything or try to stop me. I look behind me to see Ed very close to me following closely. This is going to go perfectly, I mentally grin feeling proud of this plan. I crouch down and do some sort of duck walk to the corner of the house. I continue crouching until I reach the miniature window on the side of the building. I take my bag off of my back, then tossed it into the open window. I motion for Ed to stay put, then I swiftly hop through the window.

The room is pitched black, but I've been here so many times I already know my way around here. I grab my bag and start to maneuver around the furniture. I walk out the door of the room I entered through, then I walked to the door for the wine room. I slowly open the door and creep inside. Leaving the door open in case I have to escape quickly, I walk quietly into the room. I put my bag down and begin stuffing it with wine and other alcoholic drinks. I finish packing my bag and stand up walking to the door again. That's when I hear the growl of a dog. I turn around and my eyes widen at the sight of the dog standing in a challenging stance.

"Oh damn." I mutter under my breath. The dog lets out a loud bark and steps forward challengingly. I glare at the creature and take a small step backwards. In the next few seconds I'm not exactly sure what happened but one minute I'm standing there and the next I'm in some sort of dog form. I let out a threatening growl making the dog cower away from me. I take a step forward and the dog cowers away again. I smile to myself, but my happiness is soon cut short when I hear footsteps coming down stairs. I panic and grab my bag in my mouth and run away from the room. Somehow as I'm running I change back into my normal form and I run through the doors with my bag still in my mouth.

"What the heck was that?" A masculine voice asks to no one in general. I hop through the window again and begin running.

"Jay! What are you doing?" Ed asks me. I don't answer, but I keep running. "Jay! Jay why are you naked?" He asks in a panting voice but it's very quiet because I'm so far ahead of him. I'm slightly terrified, what the heck just happened? The bag on my back is making it a little harder to run fast but I don't care, I'm way too terrified. As soon as I reach the boys home I slow down till I'm not running anymore. I sneak back in through my window and change into some clothes. About ten minutes later Ed comes back panting and sweating like McDonald's fries.

"You couldn't have waited for me?" He says through pants. I want to laugh at how pathetic he was, but I managed to hold it in. My bag was underneath the one window in our room, so I walked over and zipped it open. I picked up a bottle of wine, removing the cork then chugging half of it, I then preceded to hand it over to Ed. He looked hesitant at first, but soon took a sip. His face twisted in disgust, but he continued to drink more of the liquid.

"Why did I have to come?" Ed asked then took another sip. As Ed gets drunk (Which, hallelujah, doesn't take long) he loosens up a lot, hence why I give him it to him in the first place. I shrug my shoulders at Ed's question, to be honest I have no idea why he comes, he just kind of does.

"I don't know." I answer very lamely. As soon as the bottle is finished, I grab another one for us. The bottle had absolutely no label on it, but I could care less, I just want to escape my thoughts. A couple of hours of drinking go by and soon enough we're completely bored of each other.

Ed turns on the TV. Some news channel is on and Ed being too drunk to remember how to use a remote leaves it on the channel. It's weird how after having more alcohol than Ed I'm still barely drunk. Normally when I'm drunk I go and do something stupid and Ed comes along because he does whatever I say. Ah, good times.

"A couple hours ago a local wine brewery was attacked by some sort of animal; reporter Kelly Daniels has the full report. Kelly," A middle aged woman says on TV. As soon as she finishes talking another screen pops up of a blond lady at the wine place we took wine from. My eyes widen as I realize what they're talking about. Oh my god. I think to myself.

"Thank you, Janice. Okay I'm here with Daniel Reed at the scene of the crime. So Daniel what happened?" She asked a man about forty or fifty years old.

"I was upstairs sleeping when my dog heard something downstairs and started barking. I ran down there with him and saw some sort of huge dog with a bag in its mouth running away. I was too stunned to follow the creature so I let him go." He explained. My mouth dropped open and my eyes widened. Oh my god I'm so screwed. The blonde woman started talking in her reporter voice again.

"Police report that there are some boys clothing left on the floor in the room beside your wine cellar, care to elaborate?" She looks at the camera with a serious look on her face. The man nods slightly and speaks.

"The police say I'm just seeing things, but I know I saw some sort of mysterious creature." The man reports, fearfully. The woman nods and turns back to the camera again.

"Well that's all for now, we'll have more details tomorrow evening. Until then beware for this vicious dog on the loose." She finishes off with a salute and the camera goes back to the first lady. I quickly turn off the TV and hop into bed. I hope I don't get caught. No I can't get caught, I won't. Those are the last thoughts I have before I drift off into a peaceful sleep.
