"There's no honorable way to kill, no gentle way to destroy. There is nothing good in war. Except its ending."

At Tundran Frontline, Base 18
7th Army Division; Delta BattalionWhen we arrived at the base, it was a disaster. We were attacked and forced out of the base. We made a small camp nearby, but they took Nick and Donavan prisoner and took the light recon.
I woke up now to my men ready for the impending attack on the enemy base. This was our last chance. I had lost too many men. My men seemed to drop like flies with each passing engagement I found my troops thin. I only had four bazooka men and my squad of infantry.
I had radioed the Captain asking for reinforcements but he solemnly informed me that he had no men to spare. I was on my own with what troops I could muster.
"Well, then men this is our last chance to take the base they have also lost men so they only have light tanks and 2 MG nests, and about 12 men. Just remember this is a do-or-die attack. Forward, men, to victory!" I yelled.
The enemy light tank soon was firing at us. "Alright, you four flank around to the side and take out the MG nests, I and my squad will take out the tank."
"I understand, sir," said a bazooka soldier. They then went to attack the MGs following my orders and flanked around the enemy tank toward the machine gun nests.
"Alright, I want Joe and Josh to go across the road and distract the tank. After they get the tank's attention I will move up, then you guys will shoot at the tank and spread out, while you do that, I will move up and take out the tank. By then the MGs will be gone hopefully. Okay? Let's go!" I said.
Josh and Joe ran across the road and got the attention of the tank. I then walked up slowly staying close to cover along the tree line. I was then next to the tank waiting on the others.
Suddenly, the tank opened fire on Miles and the others. They then moved across the road and along the tree line to distract the tank. I climbed up the side of the tank and got to the hatch on the top of the tank. I threw it open and tossed a grenade inside, jumping onto the ground. BOOM! The grenade exploded destroying the tank and the helpless crew inside.
I felt terrible as I had made that metal menace those poor men's coffins. My heart yearned to be away from all this violence for just a little bit.
"Alright, let's move up, men!" I yelled out.
We moved forward and saw that the MGs were gone and the bazooka soldiers were pinned down by the enemy infantry. I rushed toward them and took out two enemy soldiers. The rest ran into the base. I then regrouped with everyone at the entrance to the base. We ran in to find some enemy soldiers on the ground with their hands up. Behind them were their other men pointing weapons at them. I took out one of the soldiers as he loaded his gun.
The soldiers with their hands up grabbed their pistols and opened fire. I ran for cover behind some crates. I saw the recon. Donavan and Nick were behind some barbed wire fences. But the enemy soldiers were in the way, protecting their prisoners from us.
I ran to the barbed wire and cut it quickly moving it so I wouldn't run it over and pop the tires. I got the attention of two enemy soldiers. I looked at Donavan and Nick who were pretty confused about what to do. "Come on guys get moving and get your weapons from that tent then meet me here." I cried.
They ran into a tent and were out in less than a minute. I was already in the recon, waiting when they got in. I drove to the back entrance of the base where the Tundrans had now set up their dug-in cover positions and were trying to prevent us from leaving. I was about to move the gear into drive when a sniper shot rang out and I heard a thud behind me.
