"They wrote in the old days that it is sweet and fitting to die for one's country. But in modern war, there is nothing sweet nor fitting in your dying. You will die like a dog for no good reason."
-Ernest Hemingway

I sat in the Dune Sea HQ thinking to myself for a moment about a magnitude of different things.

I was mostly thinking about Tzar Gorgi who was found dead near a bridge. He had been watching the battle and during the battle Commander Ubel had killed him.

I sat in silence for awhile. The Tzar's death was an incredible tragedy. Although the Frontier Presidents and the entire nation hated the Tzar he was in his heart a good man. He was only doing what he felt was best for his country at that time.

And I wasn't one to fault him for doing that.

I heard a door open and looked up to see Derek. "You alright?" he asked still standing in the doorway. "Yeah don't worry about me." said waving him off.

He then left closing the door behind him.

I was still waiting for Austin who got held up at several other things. "Hello there Lieutenant" said Austin as I looked at. "Ready for your mission" questioned Austin.

"No I haven't been briefed yet" I said. "Alright then come with me" he said motioning for me to follow him. I followed him into a large room.

I sat down next to him and he layed some papers in front if me. "This paper states that several high ranking Xylvanians are meeting in the North to discuss there next move" said Austin.

"So, what do want me to do about it" I asked. "Well first are stealth helicopter will take you to the drop off point where you will meet your contact and after that you will assassinate as many of the officers before you are caught then you will go back to the helicopter and come back here" said Austin. "Well sounds fun" I said. "You can pick two men from your squad to go with you" said Austin.

"Fine with me" I said as I left the room. I walked down the hall to where my squad was. I stood in the doorway and motioned for Zach and Derek to come with me.

We went down to the armory and I grabbed a bolt action L1 sniper. Derek grabbed and semi-auto Lynx. Zach already had a sniper sense he was are squads sniper.

"Well you guys seem ready so, follow me." I said leaving the room. I went up to the helicopter and got on board. I sat down across from my men.

"So, what exactly are we doing" asked Zach as the helicopter took off. "Where going to do a high profile mission" I said looking down at the endless sea of sand.

"We are assassinating several high ranking Xylvanian officers" I said. "Alright this should be fun" said Derek.

Soon we were at the landing zone. The helicopter slowly landed and we got out. I saw my favorite person waiting for me.

It was Rachael. She turned to look at me and as she noticed it was me she let out a heavy sigh. "You again" she said. "Yup" I replied smiling. "Haven't I helped your ass enough" she said looking away.

"I guess not" I said. "Here take this" she said tossing me and my men silencers. I attached it to my sniper and waited for her next order.

"Know there are also several Tundran snipers everywhere" said Rachael pointing our to the circle shaped valley surrounded by a canyon.

"Why are they here" I asked. "They want revenge" said Rachael as she walked over to some sand piles.

She picked them up and threw then at us. "Pretty stealthy" I said. "Yeah, there should shield us from gunships flying overhead" she said going over to a small area surrounded by rocks and sandbags.
