Chapter 16: Call Sign Eagle

I sat on the T-Copter with my battalion of 18 rifle infantry and my squad.

General Austin and General Herman were working together in this mission which was code named Operation Neptune.

I could hear the roar of the fighters of the 3 fighters that were helping us by attack Xylvanian targets while we advanced towards the Xers Command Center.

I was the Leader on the ground so, the air support would report to me when a target was destroyed and I would also give them targets that my men couldn't handle.

There was also 3 gunships and there crews being held somewhere on the island.

I then realized that we were landing on the island sense I heard the sound of gunfire coming from below.

"Alright boys get ready" I shout as I stood up and waited for the T-Copter to land and the ramp to lower.

As we landed the ramp lowered and I ran out into the beach. I decided to go turn right after running off the ramp.
My squad followed close behind waiting for my orders.

As I ran onto the beach I saw some sandbags towards the position.

I reached the position and my squad joined me. "This is nuts" cried Zach."We need to get back to the T-Copter" shouted Joe getting up.

I got up before he turned and I grabbed his shirt collar and looked him right in the eyes. "Where do you think your going soldier" I said.

He started to stutter. "Yeah your going now where" I said as the T-Copter flew away. I then threw him down into the sand.

I then crouched and thought of my next move.

"Now what's the plan sir" asked Donavan. As usual I didn't really have one yet. "Well we need to take those MG Nests at the top of the hill" I said.

"Well how will we do that" asked Miles . "Ok I want Miles and Donavan to distract the MG while the rest of us attack the MG" I said

Everyone agreed and we then got into position.

"Go go go" I voiced as I raced forward up the beach. I got to the foot of the hill when I noticed that my men were pinned down.

I then got up and ran up the hill without the MG gunner seeing me.

I quickly jumped up with a grenade and threw it at the Nest. It exploded destroying the MG. I also noticed that the other MG's had been destroyed as well.

"Lets keep going" I shouted cupping my hands over my mouth. As I turned around to move ahead I heard the roar of Bombers.

I looked up to see 2 Xylvanian bombers bearing down on us. "Shit" I said.

Them it hit me;I had to call in the Frontier fighters that were here to help us out.

"This is Scorpion 1 calling Eagle 1 we need air support at the beach" I said. "We are on are way Scorpion 1" said the pilot.

I then looked up to see are 3 Fighters fly overhead and engaging the Xylvanian bombers.

"Now move your sorry asses" I said running on to the path that lead along the side of a steep hill.

The hill had a few MG Towers placed along it. On my right was the ocean water and on the right was the hill.

As we advanced I noticed the Fighters fly over head and circle around.
