"It is well that war is so terrible, or we should get too fond of it."

After a few more Xylvanian attempts to take a fort along the coast they finally decided to attack over land and seize the Nerocite fields in the north and east. Mostly we were pushed into the south and west.

Now the Xylvanians were laying siege to the City of Dusty Springs. The citizens were evacuated by air and sea but, the Tundran defenders stayed and now they also need to be evacuated.

So, now my battalion is tasked with breaking the siege and rescuing the Tundran soldiers. We were now leaving the canyon that lead to the outskirts of the city. "Wait here!" I shouted.

All my men stopped.

I pulled out my binoculars and I began looking at the enemy positions. No soldiers were covering the roads leading into the city but, they were mostly focused on the Tundrans across the Sand River.

They were near the southern bridge. I could see two artillery guns facing the Tundrans in the south. I could see a small part of the city on the North side of the river. "Sir? asked a soldier behind me. "Yes." I replied not turning to look at the soldier. "Are you ready to attack yet? asked the soldier. "No I am still surveying the enemy defenses." I said still looking out my binoculars.

I then saw that there were not many two story houses that could his snipers and machine guns. I then put my binoculars away and turned to my battalion. I had 7 infantry, 5 bazooka soldiers, 5 flame soldiers, 2 heavy tanks and 2 anti-air vehicles. I also had my squad with me like always. "Lets move up." I shouted to my men. "Everyone get on a vehicle!" I ordered as I jumped on the lead Heavy Tank.

After everyone was on a vehicle we got into a column with One Tank in front of a anti-air vehicle then behind the first anti-air vehicle was the same thing. "Alright lets go." I shouted as the tank began to move down the room. As we approached the town are column stopped. "Everyone dismount and follow me." I commanded as I entered the town.

Suddenly a group of enemy infantry opened fire from behind some sandbags. "Grab some cover." I shouted jumping behind another group of sandbags.

I quickly jumped up and fired at the enemy hitting one and I then got down behind the sandbags again.

I got up and aimed at the enemy only to see that they were dead. It appeared that my bazooka soldiers overwhelmed then. "Lets advance." I said running towards the enemy artillery.

I waited for the tank to catch up. Soon the tanks were in position. "Where's my infantry?!" I shouted. Soon my squad and the 7 other soldiers run up to me. "What is it sir?" asked a soldier. "I need you 13 to stay over on the left flank behind that building and when the tanks destroy the artillery I want you guys to ambush the Xers protecting the bridge." I finished giving my orders. "Yes Sir." said the soldiers walking to there post.

I went over to the tanks. The heavy tank had two 155 mm cannons that could obliterate enemy Light Tanks, Recon's and Artillery. I opened the hatch and looked at the gunner. "When I give the signal fire." I said. "Alright, sir." replied the gunner looking down the sight to fire.

"Ready."

"Take Aim."

"FIRE!" I shouted.

The tanks fired at once and destroyed the enemy artillery guns. I looked behind me at my infantry. They had already started to attack the enemy.

After they finished there attack I joined them at the edge of the bridge. My tanks and other men followed me. I could see that there was a gunship attacking the Tundran infantry on the other side of the bridge.
