I sat on the Battle-station looking ahead at the road.

As I stood I thought about my fight back at the river and I then quickly got back to thinking about my new task.

The engine roared. It sounded like the enemies demise. We had received word of a mysterious new enemy, but it didn't faze me.

Also I heard from are scouts that a group of Special Ops had been captured by the Xylvanians.

As we moved out of the Forrest I could see the enemy fortress ahead. I stood up and held up my fist.

The men behind me stopped as well. I sniffed the Xylvanian air. "I smell the enemy; take a rest for a moment." I shouted

The Battle-Station stopped immediately upon raising my fist. "What is it?" Asked the Battle-Station Commander confused by my earlier statement.

"The Enemy." I replied grabbing my binoculars that hung around my neck. I looked thoroughly the glass and at the defenses.

"What are we dealing with today, sir?" Asked Zach. "We have heavily dug in defenders around the perimeter. There also appears to be bunkers scattered throughout the trenches." I said explaining what I saw.

"We could also face the problem of Machine guns along the fortress wall, which appears to be old and falling apart I suspect there is a few tanks and artillery guns as well." I finished.

"How many men?" Asked Zach. "At least 45 to 55." I replied still looking through the binoculars.

"In the briefing room they did tell us it was an old fortress from the 16th century." Interrupted Donavan. "Well Sergeant I think we should leave the Lieutenant to his studying." Suggested Zach.

"Your right." Replied Donavan. They quickly left climbing off the tank onto the ground. I could hear them talking and laughing while they rejoined the rest of the men.

It appeared that the best plan would be to use the Battle-Station to destroy the enemy Machine Guns while we flank around on both sides crushing the enemy up into the fortress.

Once in the fortress the enemy will have no chance to recover before are Battle-Station is attacking again.

With the twin barrels we shouldn't have to problem with destroying any enemy armor and artillery.

I studied the top of the fortress wall looking for any spaces where snipers could be lurking.

On top of the wall I saw some barbed wire at one spot along the wall. There were also a few guards on the wall pacing back and forth behind the wire.

"That's where the prisoners must be." I murmured to myself moving the binoculars away from my eyes and letting them dangle from my neck.

I took them off and put them back in my backpack.

I made my way off the Battle-Station slowly. I jumped down to the ground and walked to the rest of the men.

As I walked up to them the soldiers saluted me and I saluted back.

"At ease." I said. The men then relaxed and waited for my next instruction.

"I have formulated a plan of attack." I said bending down to pick a stick up off the ground.

"We are hear." I said using the stick to draw a circle in the dirt. "The enemy is here." I said drawing an X in the ground.

"My plan will have us infantry men relying on the Battle-Station; the Battle-Station will attack up the roadwhile we flank around on both sides, this should eliminate a large number of troops in the trenches." I explained.
