Chapter 5: Game Plan

School Rule #5: It's a new year. It's a new book, which means a new diary! Make your game plans for this year. Make sure you don't end up being voted as a loner in the end of the year!

Chapter 5: Game Plan

Brenda felt so tired when she woke up, she couldn't remember how long she's been sleeping. All she wanted to do now is going home, but the voice of Nathaniel huffing under his breath caused her to pay attention, "Ruben is being ridiculous."

"What makes you think it's Ruben?" Ashley's eyes filled with curiosity.

"Who else? Him and his nasty rats. He pulled the same stunts last year."

"Why would Ruben bother to disturb me?"

"Not you. It's actually me." He sighed. "He hated me, and he probably thought that since i became friend with you and you are new, he will enjoy annoying you."

Brenda looked down, playing with the clinic's bed sheet. She used to be bully back in primary school and she used to skip school everyday until finally Brook decided to move her out to a new school. She hated the feeling. She cant believe she had to feel it again.

For some reason however, Brenda wasn't sure that it was Ruben. She tried to remember what happened before she passed out.

She was hurriedly going to her locker when three girls in pink leather jackets purposely tripped her over. The girls laughed as she tried to find her glasses on the ground.

"Poor little nerdy. What are you doing on the floor? Mopping?" Their laughters broke, Brenda ignored them and walked passed.

"Hey! I'm talking to you, Miss Zero." The girl in the middle with a shiny long blonde hair pulled her hurting wrist.

"It hurts!" Brenda exclaimed and took a glance at the blonde girl's name tag. Jaclyn Leonard.

"Why are you so cheap, ugly girl? First you tried to hit on Nathaniel then Ruben. I'm glad that Ruben broke your wrist!"

"Let me go." Brenda's tears start escaping. "I'm going home!"

"So you can run to your mommy?" The other girl laughed.

"Listen to me, chest-flat. Ruben will not tolerate anyone who crossed his paths. Except me. So you better be careful. He is not letting you live freely." The girl turned around, followed by the other two blondes. "Let's go, bunny babes."

How could she get into this situation? Brenda didn't like this at all. She opened up her locker, and before she grabbed her bag, a huge spider crawled onto her hand. She shrieked loudly that pretty sure the whole school heard.

Nathaniel who was just walking on the corner ran up to her and held her in his arm, "are you okay?"

"Spi.. Spider..!!" Her view blackened out.

"Anyway, i have to go home. Now that you are awake, does anyone need a lift?" Nathaniel offered the girls, waking Brenda up from her train of thoughts.

"I don't know how to get home." Brenda always took the school bus, what is she going to do?

"She'll ride with us." Gabriella smiled.

After the girls thank Nathaniel, he left.

"So... What's your plan, Breni?" Gabriella gave her a wink.

"What plan?!" Brenda looked puzzled.

"Don't listen to her, Bren. Gabby just enjoy playing nasty tricks." Ashley gave her twin a glare.

"He is the meanest guy. Don't you want to know his weakness? I meant, really. What's your plan? I don't offer you a ride for no reason, you know."

"I..." Brenda hesitated. "I thought i will move out of school again."

"What?" Ashley looked shock. "I don't agree with Gabby, but you can't runaway. Maybe the spider is just an accident."

"Where's Renata?" I tried to change the subject.

"She went home already." Gabriella exclaimed. "Listen, alright? I could help you in making Ruben's life a living hell."

Brenda was hopping Renata could help her instead. She must knew Ruben, she was the one who calmed Ruben down. Renata would be able to protect her. "What are you thinking anyway?" Brenda felt scared.

"Okay, listen... I'll tell you what to do, and you can commence it anytime you feel like it. How's that?" Gabby's dark eyes glittered.

Ashley groaned. "Why am I in this again, Gab?" She rolled her eyes.

"We're twins, Ash. Stop being a pampered kid." Gabby raised her eyebrow. "So here's the deal..."

Can Gabriella be trusted? What exactly her plan that Brenda should commence?
