Y/N POV
I knocked on the door to the first house. When it opened, I see a pink-haired girl with... cat ears? Are they fake? They don't look fake... Wait, is that a tail? A real, live, moving tail? I've never seen a girl like this before! Well, during Halloween, but that's a costume... thatis so cool! I wish I can be a catgirl like-
"Um... hello? How may Kawaii~Chan help you?"
I snap out of my thoughts and back into reality. Woops. Must've been staring. Great way to make a good impression, Y/N
"Hi! I'm... Y/N I'm new to the neighborhood."
Kawaii~Chan's eyes widened so big you would actually think she was from an anime (yes I wrote that ( ͡° ³ ͡° ), and she pulled me in for a tight hug.
"Omg! Kawaii~Chan is so happy to have a new neighbor!", she screeched near my ear. I winced, but I was glad to make a friend a neighborhood.
When she finally lets go, I see a blue-haired girl walking towards the doorway where we are, rubbing her left eye.
"Kawaii~Chan, seriously. What are you screaming about?", the girl says tiredly, then adds under her breath, "... not that it's much of a surprise..."
Kawaii~Chan smiled and pulled me to her side. "Katelyn~Sama, this is Y/N~Sama, our new neighbor." I gave a small wave.
"Oh, cool. Hey as Kawaii~Chan said, I'm Katelyn But don't add sama, just know that's how Kawaii~Chan speaks. It's annoying, but we love her anyway."
"We?"
"Oh, and Aphmau lives here, too. She's at Aaron's, her boyfriend's, house down the street."
"Quick question..." I said, looking down MyStreet. "Do you know everyone on this street?"
"Yeah, we're friends with most of the neighbors here. Ever since highschool, now that I think about it."
Wow... everyone is friends around here... I hope someday I would be a part of that.
Kawaii~Chan's eyes lit up. "Kawaii~Chan has an idea! She can show Y/N~Sama around the neighborhood and help her make friends with everyone! Can Katelyn~Sama come, too?"
Katelyn yawned and stretched. "Sorry, Kawaii~Chan. I need to finish my nap. I have night shift tonight at work."
"Oh, okay. Let's go, Y/N~Sama!"
"U-um, Kawaii~Chan... y-you don't have to waste your time... I can go by mysel-"
Instead of listening, Kawaii~Chan pulls me towards the house straight across from her.
I smile. I can already tell the future is bright.
A/N Again, really hard to keep a daily schedule for Wattpad. I'll do the best I can, but the chapters won't be so constant. Really sorry, but I do hope you guys enjoy the story. I really, really like writing this \( ᵔ Ꮂ ᵔ )/
