23. Y/N

"Uhm..." I am at a fluffin' lost for fluffin' words.

How did they all know about this? That quick?

This can't be happening.

I turned towards Aphmau and gave her the "evil eye." Aphmau's eyes widened, and she recoiled. "Aphmau..."

"Y/N! I swear I didn't tell them about this. We were all hanging out when you called, and I know I should have asked you but I kind of put you on speaker cause I thought it would be some other girl thing, and... IM SU SAWRY PLIZ DONT HURT ME!!" (rip English) Aphmau ran and hid behind the couch inhabiting the other girls.

The group of girls, meaning Kawaii~Chan, Katelyn, and Lucinda. They're just sitting there. Just waiting for me to start gushing about my newfound crush. Kawaii~Chan, in particular, looks like she's about to bubble over with very dangerous-looking excitement.

I closed my eyes and sighed. I'm a sad, tired, confused mess. I also feel my hangover slowly coming back. I don't need this kind of attention right now. But...

I suppose I could let them try to help this once.

"I can't believe this is finally happening. All of us were basically waiting for you guys to be together." Katelyn said, grinning. 

"What do you mean?" I asked. 

Lucinda spoke up. "Y/N. You're the only person who's ever been friends with Zane, let alone has talked to him.  Plus, you guys do look cute together."

Every inch of my skin heats up, and I feel like I'm about to faint. 

I took a deep breath and crossed my arms. "Mhm, w-well... It's not like I can do anything about it. Just tell me how I can get rid of this feeling."

Aphmau popped her head up from behind the couch. "Y/N. You can't just stop liking someone. Don't you want to be with him?"

The thought of touching and kissing his lips returns to my mind, and my body is set on fire. I nod slightly, feeling embarrassed.

"So, you need to let him know that you like him. There's a pretty good chance that he likes you too. I've noticed what happened at the party." Aphmau stood up and pressed her hands against the top of the couch and leaned forward.

"Huh?" Geez, as if I can get any more confused.

"At the party, Laurance put his arm around you, remember? Zane was really jealous!"

"Ha ha! That's really cute, Aphmau, but can you please not kid with me right now? Especially right after I just felt this way about him?" 

"I'm not! What, you think after a boy and a girl spend time alone with each other no feelings will develop?"

"Huh?? Wait, how... I-I .. No..."

"Okay okay, I can tell you haven't really been experienced in these types of situations before. I'm sorry I pressed on. I really should help you instead of torturing you on how you feel about Zane." 

I let out a breath of relief and relaxed. At least this situation is now a little less... je ne sais quoi (look it up)

"What are we waiting for? Let's get this ship sailing!" Kawaii~Chan squealed, starting to pounce up and down on the couch. The rest of the girls smiled and nodded.

I grinned awkwardly at them, feeling grateful and embarrassed with the help. I'd rather have the help be from me, and I feel sort of weak if it was from other people, though at the same time I know I'd need it. 

Lucinda stood up from the couch and walked over to me. "Alright, sweetie... for starters, you need to really fix yourself up.  Come on, let us help you freshen up a bit and then we'll give you some..." She darted an eye at Aphmau, causing her to jump. "... helpful advice."

I smiled and nodded. "Alright."
