An old episode of Aphmau's that I keep close to my heart ^^
I expected this. She did tell me she moved here. And if she was crazy enough to try to befriend me on the bus, she's crazy enough to knock on some introvert's door.
"What do you want?", I grumbled after she greeted me.
"I'm just introducing myself to everyone. I am new to this neighborhood after all.", she replied.
I opened the door a little wider. A cloud that hid the sun had just passed, and the fall light slowly spilled onto the street. Everything was suddenly so bright. The wind picked up, running its hands through Y/N's hair as if it were wind chimes. Looking at her in this moment, I couldn't help but whisper, "Beautiful."
Y/N seemed to hear, because she turned around to look down the street. "Yeah, it is. Isn't the weather great? I love fall!" She lifted up her arms and tilted her head up to the sky.
"What are you doing?" I asked her, questioning whether or not she's insane.
She giggled and shook her head. "I don't even know anymore." She turned around to face me.
"Do you know the other people on this street?", she asked me.
"Unfortunately, yes. My brother, Garroth, lives on this street with a couple other guys. The other people, I just had classes with in highschool and went to the same college as them. Garroth managed to properly introduce me to those people, and them to me, so I know their names and what they look. Other than that, I don't know them as a friend."
"So, do you have any friends?"
"No. And I would very much like to keep it that way."
"Everyone needs a friend. I could be your friend."
"No, thank you."
"Please?" Y/N looked up with pleading eyes.
I hesitated, then muttered, "Whatever. Just leave me alone."
She grinned. "Alright!" She waved and started to head down the stairs of my front porch. "See you later!", she called over her shoulder.
I watched her walk down the street. Did you really just become freinds with her?, I thought to myself. Do you know what this means?
I smile and I tell myself, "I guess that means that she's worth it."
Then I head back inside.
