I can remember several good moments of just being with Zane. Having conversations, playing video games, watching movies. And in all those times we felt so comfortable with each other.

And now... I feel like I'm being forced to walk next to a stranger. I glance over to my right. Yup, it's still Zane. He stares down at the ground and his hands are tucked tightly inside the pockets of his coat. He must be feeling tense and awkward as well.

I remember the time I accidentally third-wheeled with Aph and Aaron at the mall. I originally came to the mall with Kawaii~Chan to go shopping when we ran into the power couple at the food court. We were all talking and laughing when Kawaii~Chan spotted a sale at her favorite place and dashed off without a word. Leaving me with Aph and Aaron. The two had wanted to go some hardware store before the mall closes. I knew Kawaii~Chan would be a while in her store, and I thought it would be nice to catch up with Aph, so I tagged along with them. They welcomed me to join them. As we three walked over, I noticed Aph leaning against Aaron, looping her arm through the crook of his. I saw how comfortable they are, secretly wishing I can be like that with someone someday...

Now I see the boy who I like and likes me right there. I want to be more than friends with him, but I realize I need to do something about it. I gently place my hand on his arm. He turns his head to look at me expectedly, thinking I wanted to say something. I give him a small smile and said, "I'm actually a little cold. Is it okay if I just.. lean against you while we walk..?" I wince at how awkward I sounded, but Zane just smiled back and nodded. I proceeded to lightly lean against him and I heart explodes. I could've sworn we just clicked, like Lego pieces. The awkwardness that was once there disappears and it feels like it's just us once again.

Zane speaks my mind. "This is nice." I hum in agreement.

We keep walking until we reach the maid cafe. We then see Kawaii~Chan and Aph heads poking up behind one of the windows. They jump when we catch them staring and ducked out of sight. Zane and I exchange glances and groaned at the same time.

"I'm a little worried how they'll react when we tell them what happened." I tell him. Zane takes his hand out of his pocket and wraps his arm around my waist, surprising me.

"I don't think they'd be upset, don't worry. If they will, let's just enjoy this moment for a few more minutes."

My face heats up and I chuckle. I remark, "I've noticed you've been a lot more confident in yourself lately."

"Good observation. You're the one who helped me come out of my shell. I'm just cringing at how out there I am."

We both laugh and reach the door to the cafe. As we enter, we immediately come face-to-face with Kawaii~Chan and Aph.

"You sure took a pretty long break, hon." Aph said as she smirked, looking at both me and Zane.

I start fiddling with my fingers. "S-sorry Aph- I mean ma'am. I wasn't keeping track of the time."

Aph smiled at me and giggled. "Alright, let's stop with the formalities. I NEED DETAILS!"

I look up at her in surprise. "What? What do you mean?"

Kawaii~Chan joined in, jumping, "How did you guys get together??"

Zane blurts, "Sorry, we don't know what you girls are talking about."

Aph reaches out her hand towards us. I just realized Zane and I are still cuddling. We both jump and we keep our hands to ourselves.

"Don't try to hide it! We're not surprised you guys are together. Actually, we're ecstatic!"

"Y-you're not? And you are?" I stutter.

"I think it was pretty obvious. Even the cat lady in the next neighborhood suspected it. And we're happy for you guys. Irene obviously put you two together."

I remember what Zane and I came here for, other than the fact I haven't finished my other shift. "Zane and I haven't dated anyone else our whole lives. We were wondering if you Aph could help us with this relationship stuff."

"Of course, Y/N. Aaron and I will help you two if you have any questions. But we're not the perfect couple, so expect ups and downs in your relationship."

I smile. "Thanks, Aph. It means a lot."

"Anytime! You can return the favor and go behind the register. There's a pretty long line back there..." She points behind her to a line of about ten people.

I nod and head over there, but before I could Zane pulls me back by my hand and gives me a quick peck on the cheek. I blush and hear Aph and Kawaii~Chan squealing. I give Zane a small wave and get back to work

I should probably start naming Kawaii~Chan "Nana" now. I haven't caught up with Aph's channel lately. What do you think?

It's a strange feeling to write romance story when you're in a conflict with your own. (Mm trademarking that) (But for real though, let me know if someone else has said this.)

Thanks again for all the support you've given. I'm not really sure how to finish this story on a high note now that they're together. But we'll see.
