Chapter 35

Harry knocks on the door of the Weasley's house the next day. Mrs.Weasley opens the door and a smile appears on her face. "Hello Harry when did you get back dear?" She asked.

"Uh yesterday" Harry says nervously because she doesn't know how molly feels about him.

"You came back yesterday and you didn't have time to see your son?" Ginny's voice is heard from the background. Harry looks guilty, he sighs. Ginny knows she's being unreasonable but she can't help but stay angry at him because if she doesn't she'll end up kissing him to death.

"Oh don't be silly Ginerva, come on in Harry" molly says with a smile. Harry smiles and nods. He steps in and sees James sitting on Ginny's lap with a toothless smile on his face. Harry smiles and moves towards him. Ginny caves and hand James to him. Harry holds him carefully and a huge smile appears on his face.

"I'm sorry I haven't been around mate" Harry says to James who looks at Harry confused. "But I promise I'll be around more, I'll be the best daddy in the world even if I've been shit lately" Harry says as he pats James on the back. Ginny has to leave the room because she feels like she might burst into tears. Harry watches her leave and he hands James to Molly and runs after her. "Ginny..." Harry says, he is outside, Ginny is laying on her back on the grass with tears pouring out of her eyes. Harry lays next to her and looks up at the sky. "Are you okay? Did I do anything wrong?" Harry asks. Ginny let's out a laugh.

"No of course not, you're perfect... you'll be a perfect dad" Ginny says, she turns her head so that she is looking at him. He turns his head as well. "I'm sorry" Ginny says.

"For what?" Harry asks confused.

"For being such a bitch, I broke it off with you thinking that was what I needed"

"Were you right?" Harry asks.

"Maybe, I don't know. When you walked in I wanted to kiss you and touch you like you were still mine" Ginny mutters.

"I'm also sorry" Harry says. "For not being around enough, I should have apparated back whenever I got the chance"

"You couldn't have done that, you were to busy, I know that from the time I visited you"

Flashback
Harry walks out of a meeting, his hair is ruffled and his tie is starting to come undone, he sees a red haired girl waiting for him on the steps. She is 7 months pregnant. Harry gives her a light smile and he kisses her cheek. "Anymore meetings today handsome?" Ginny asks. Harry nods his head looking guilty, Ginny tries to hide her disappointment. "Alright then handsome we better fix up your hair and tie" Ginny says. She runs her hand through his messy hair and fixes his tie.

"I have to meet with the prime minister" Harry mutters. "And then we can go have dinner at uh 9:30?" Harry asks. He looks exhausted even now but Ginny nods.

"Yeah sure" Ginny says with a smile. Harry kisses her on the lips and hands her his hotel key.

"I'll see you later"

"I should have come home when you asked me to" Harry said as he looked up at the cloudless sky.

"I was being selfish" Ginny muttered. She didn't look at him. She also didn't like admitting she was wrong.

"I saw the ring on the bed side table yesterday, it hurt more seeing that you followed through with it" Harry says. "I've never been through a proper break up"

"Maybe this will be good for us" Ginny says with a small smile. "Maybe we jumped into this too soon, maybe we need to see if we want something else and if we don't then I would love nothing more than to marry you"
