Falling back

Chapter 8

Heads up there's a lot of POV and time jumping mixed in this chapter sorry about it.

Nina POV

    After Ian's and I's little talk I went home and took a shower, now I'm on the couch curled into a ball. Why after 3  years of not talking to each other and everything else that happened, why does he apologize now.

    A knock on the door snaps me out of my thoughts, I stand up and open it the person at the door surprises, Nikki. She has anger written all over her face "N..Nikki what are you d..doing here" she doesn't answer me but instead she punches me in the face. I stumble back holding my nose blood is coming out of it like crazy "What the hell Nikki" "Oh don't act all innocent you know what you did, having an affair with my husband slut" my eyes widen she thinks I'm having an affair with Ian, this bitch is crazy. 

    "Excuse me you think I had a what with Ian? Nikki you got it all wrong he just talked to me nothing more" I try to explain but she doesn't seem convinced, "LIES! Now you're going to pay" she kicks me on the side and I fall down cause of the pain then she keeps on punching and kicking me.

    I try to fight back but I'm in to much pain, then I feel something stab me in the stomach I scream on top of my lungs. The last thing I hear is "NIKKI WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING" then everything goes black.

Paul POV

    I get a call from Ian about 10 minutes ago to Nina's house he didn't give me a reason why but he sounded scared and worried so I called Phoebe and I went to pick her up. Me and Phoebe are on our way to Nina's house when my phone rings Phoebe picks up and it's Ian.

    "Ian what the hell is going on" "Well I got home and Nikki was sitting on the couch and watching TV and she turned to the Entertainment Tonight and they had a story about Nina and I at the gym talking then Nikki blew up in my face about how I still love Nina then I called her a cold hearted bitch and she called me an ass then she said that she was going to take care of the problem aka Nina, I didn't know what that meant but I think Nikki's going to hurt Nina, so I called you and now I'm on my way to Nina's house I'm about 5 minutes away."

    Phoebe scoffs and shakes her head "Ian we told you that Nikki was a selfish bitch and crazy you know when Candice, Kat and I were hanging out with her she got a little drunk and was cussing everyone out say that if either of us make a move on you she'll kill us and she was talking about how she's better than a lot of people a bunch of other crap" Ian sighs and says "Ok I'm here and I see Nikki's car I knew it are you guys here" right as he says that we pull up and get out.

    A scream comes from the house and we go in, there's another scream from the living room and what is in front of us is horrifying,

Ian POV 

    Paul, Phoebe, and I are in Nina's house and we hear screaming. We go into the living room, Nina's passes out on the floor with bruises and blood coming from her face and stomach. Nikki is beating her up "NIKKI WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING" I yell and she turns around with a knife in her hands.

    I lunge towards her and knock her down, "Paul call 911, NOW!" he calls and Phoebe is trying to see if Nina is still breathing, I'm pinning Nikki down. She tries to get up but I'm stronger than her. "I told you I was going to take care of the problem and I did, now you can stop your little affair with her, she's probably already dead, I beat the shit out of her. You know punched her stabbed her multiple times" she just laughs, this woman is crazy Paul and Phoebe look at her shocked and scared. But she's also stupid for explaining everything she did she doesn't know that I've been recording her whole confession and Nina has cameras show what Nikki did.

    The police come and take Nina to the hospital and police take Nikki away on the way out of the house I face her and say "I want a divorce" she looks at me then gets dragged out of the house. I turn to Phoebe who has blood on her hand and pants "How badly injured was she?" "Pretty bad I tried to stop but blood kept of coming out and she's breathing but barely if we didn't come Nina would have died maybe".

    "You two can go home I'm going to my lawyers office"

(At his lawyers office)

    "You want a what" "A divorce" my lawyer looks at me and said "But you got married a year ago now you want a divorce" I nod my head. "Ok the reason I want a divorce is because my wife is a psychopath who wanted to kill a friend of mine" after I said that my lawyer looks at me wide eyed.

    "What do you mean?" "Never mind can I get the papers" he nods and gets the papers. He ask me to sign it then to get Nikki to sign it, I take the papers and bring it to the jail house. 

 (At the Jail house)

    I wait for them to bring Nikki out, when she gets here she sneers at me "What are you doing here shouldn't you be watching over your little slut" "Listen up one she's not a slut and two I'm here to get you to sign this" I put the divorce papers in front of her, she reads it and looks at me "You were serious when you said you wanted a divorce" her voice cracking, what else did she think I don't want to be married to someone who is psycho. 

    "Of course I was serious you think I want to be married to someone who almost killed an innocent person" she stares at me tears running down her face "Nina isn't innocent" "I beg to differ, now sign the damn papers or I'll make you sign it" she takes a pen then signs her name "There you happy we're not married anymore" "Great now I can't wait for your trail I'll do anything to put your ass behind bars cause I don't want anyone else get hurt because of your god damn jealousy and stupidity".

    Then I leave the court house and go back to my lawyers office. When I get there I give the papers to him "Wow that was fast, ok your divorce should be finalized my tomorrow I'll give you a call when it is".

Nina POV

    I wake up to a beeping noise, my eyes open and I see a bright light. Where am I, what happened. My body is really sore and it hurts to move, then it all comes back to me, Nikki coming over to my house and beating me. Who saved me?

    A doctor comes in and smiles when she she's me "Oh great your wake. My name is Dr. May and you must be wondering what happened aren't you?" I nod "Well you were brought here by an ambulance and your body had bruises on it and your stomach was stabbed 2 times luckily not near any important organs, you lost a lot of blood but we saved you." She smiles at me "Do you know who saved me?" my voice sounds scratchy and weak, she shakes her head "But there are some people who are here that might know would you like to see them" I nod and she goes out to get them.

    Phoebe and Paul walk in, Phoebe comes and hugs me or tries to I have wires and machines surrounding me. "Hey guys" "Hey Nina" Paul sits on a chair beside me and Phoebe sits on my bed, "Can one of you tell me what happened and how I got here" they look at each other and nod then Phoebe says "What was the last thing you remember" I try to remember "Well I remember Nikki coming in then punching me in the face then saying that Ian and me were having an affair then she started to beat me up the last thing I remember was her stabbing me then someone yelling at her".

   "Well ok we were at you're house because Ian called us because Nikki told him that she was going to 'take care' of you so he knew that she was going to hurt you. Then we got there and all 3 of us heard you scream ran in and saw you passed out blood everywhere and Nikki beating the shit out of you then Ian tackled her to the floor. We called 911 and they brought you here". She finishes and wow that was a lot of details, Ian saved me if he hadn't knew what Nikki was doing I'd probably be dead.

    We all talk for 30 minutes then a nurse comes in and tells me I have another visitor, I wonder who it was then they walked in with balloons and flowers. Ian Somerhalder.
