Falling back

Chapter 20

Nina's POV

    A warm breeze comes and skims over my bare shoulder, I look over at the clock on the night stand it's 9:45am. Ian isn't in next to me, where is he? Then I hear a voice outside in the living room it's probably him.

    "No we'll be there when is it?"

    "Ok thank"

    He walks back into the room wearing grey sweat pants and nothing else. I grab the white sheets and wrap them around my bare body and stand up to walk over to Ian who's back to turned to me. He's picking out something to wear when I lightly touch his body he jumped a little then turned around and smiled.

    "Good morning beautiful"

    "Morning handsome"

    He leans down and give me a small kiss when he pulls away I can see concern written all over his face. I reach up with one and while the other holds the sheets around my body and stroke is cheek bone.

    "What's wrong?"

    "Well I just got a call from my lawyer saying that Nikki's trail was to day I totally forgot about. We have to be there so...."

   I hate this, this week was just suppose to be me and Ian alone spending time with each other but now we have to go to to court and face Nikki.

    "Fine let's go" I sigh and go pick pick out my outfit. 

    I decide on a black dress with a ruffle in the middle and a white blazer. I hop into the shower and clean my body. I get out and put on my bra and panties then my dress then go and do my makeup I go for a light smokey eye and a light pink almost nude lipstick I put on hoop earrings and nude heels. With my hair I'm too lazy to do anything so I brush it out and curl it a little then put on my blazer and I'm ready to go. 

    When I get out of the bathroom I see Ian sitting on the bed looking at his phone he's wearing a blue dress shirt with black pants and has a watch on and has black shoes on. I stand in front of him wait for him to notice me, a second later he looks up and his mouth opens.

    "Damn you look hot, I'm sorry for ruining our little getaway week but you know this has to be done so she can be out of our lives"

    I nod my head, grab my phone and grab his hand and walk out of the room we get into the elevator just standing there in comfortable silence. Ian is looking at his phone I look over and try to see what he's looking at but he just turns it off and puts it in his pocket. The elevator dings and the doors open. 

    Ian get's his keys from the valet and drives to the court house. Along the way I notice that 3 black cars are following us I look at the side mirror and notice. Paparazzi. 

    "Shit" I curse under my breath.

    Ian looks over at me "What's wrong?" 

    "Paparazzi" he rolls his eyes then hand me sunglasses I put them on and lower my head trying not to be noticed. 30 minutes late we make it to the court house paparazzi are still following us so when we get out of our car all we see are flashing lights. Thankfully Ian's body guard was there, I think his name is Ryan. We get in and Ian's lawyer was there we walk up to him and he shook my hand.

    "Hi you must be Nina, I'm John" I give him a small smile 

   "Ok so the trail will start in an hour so relax and wait. Nikki is going to come in first then you guys come in both of you can sit at the table I already told the judge that I'm representing both of you, is there any other questions?" John ask.

    I speak up "Yeah can we have more people justifying with us like friends that were also there" John nods his head. "Ok thanks". Then he walks away, Ian lets out a long breath I look at furrowing my brows together. 

     "Hey what's wrong?"

     "Nothing I just want this to be over so that we can have our romantic getaway again." I smile at him "Me too". 

    I reach for my phone and dial Paul phone number. 

(Bold- Paul   Normal- Nina)

    "Hey Paul, Ian and I are at the court house for Nikki's trail I was wondering if you and Phoebe had time to come down and you know be one of our witnesses. I know it's last minute but..."  

    "Oh yeah sure we'll be there for sure. What court house is it at?"

     "Superior courthouse of Los Angeles, the trail starts in an hour."

     "Ok we'll be there in 20 minutes"

End of call

     Ian and I go sit on a couch in the waiting area wait for this thing to start. I lay my head on his should he gives me a small kiss on my temple.

    Then the door opens and walks in Nikki with an orange jump suit, cuffs around her wrist, and security guards holding her arms. She look over to us and all I can see is peer rage in her eyes then she sticks her foot out so it trips one of the guards and the other falls on top of him making them loose their grip on her so she charges herself at us.

    Ryan tries to stop her but she is kicking and screaming at him and at us saying "You little bitch this is all your fault I'm in this mess. If you didn't sleep with Ian I wouldn't be here!" "Go and kill yourself!" she is trying to get out of Ryan's grip but it's no use, the moment Nikki came charging at us Ian stepped in front of me.

    The 2 security guards stand back up and go and take Nikki. This is going to be a long day. Paul and Phoebe come 5 minutes late we say high and tell them what's going on. John comes out and looks at us.

    "It's time" 

   Ok time to put this to an end.
