Chapter 12

Nina POV

(Inside her mind)

Black. All I see is black nothing else. Where am I? How did I get here? All of a sudden I am in a house it look familiar but I can't put a finger on it.

The door handle starts to wiggle and it opens. Ian comes through, my eyes widen. What is going on is this a dream or a prank.

"Hey babe" he comes over and kisses my forehead "He..hey Ian" he looks at me funny, what is going on. Last time I checked I was single and so was Ian cause he just got a divorce and we were in the hospital. "Neens everything ok? You don't seem like yourself" "No no I'm fine, where were you?" I'm just going to play this out ad see where it leads "I was out with Paul remember I already told you this".

This seems is like Deja vu, I remember something like this actually happened. Ian was out hangout with Paul while I was at home cleaning and doing other things. I go into the bathroom and look at myself when I look up I'm at the beach me and Ian are holding hands. Something crazy is going on I was just in my apartment now I'm at the beach.

This already happened we go sit on a cliff and wait for the sun to set and then we talk and kiss, all of what I'm seeing already happened. But I'm to caught up in the moment to ask any questions or be curious. Ian and I are sitting on a cliff over looking the ocean and the sunset. My head is laying on his lap and he is playing with my hair.

"Nina?" I look up at him "Hmm" then he leans down and pushes his lips against mine.

Ian POV

I race to the hospital after my call with Dr. Carter. I make my way in the hospital but the paparazzi won't let me through they keep asking me questions like "Ian, Ian why were you seen at the jail house", "Ian why are you at the hospital", and other shit that I don't want to answer. My bodyguard tells them to move once I'm in Dr. Carter is talking to a group of doctors and nurses.

He sees me and leaves the conversation "Mr. Somerhalder please listen before you react" I don't like the sound of that but nod my head. He takes a deep breath then says "Well we thought that Nina was given a tiny dose which would be fine we could cure it but you said that she was given 2 oz which is more than the human body can take (I actually don't know this just a random guess) I'm surprised that she hasn't......um..died yet".

My hands are clenched my eyes are filled with tears but I push them back "So are you saying that you can't cure her" my voice cracks at the end. He shakes his head "We can but it's going to be more difficult, we have to do some surgery and blood transplant which roughly takes 4 to 6 hours to do". My heart slows down and I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding.

I'm sitting in Nina's room with her she's 'asleep' right now there are needles and wires surrounding her, Dr Carter said that they'll start the surgery at 3pm it's currently 12pm. Her hands are warm I play with her fingers and look up at her. She looks cute I brush my hand against her face.

"Hey Neens, don't worry you'll be fine the doctor said that after this surgery no more venom will be in your system. I'm sorry I let this happened I should have chased after Nikki after she left the house and said that she was going to take care of the problem. I just didn't know what she meant but by the time I did she already injected you." a tear runs down my face followed by another one "I just want you to know that I love you always have always will. It's was a mistake to marry Nikki it was just that it broke my heart when you said no when I proposed I just didn't know how to do anything then Nikki came along and well you know the story"

I keep on talking to her for about 2 hours, 1 more hour till she goes into surgery. The nurse gave me Nina's necklace that I gave to her she said that they had to take it off for some medical stuff. I open the locket up and see a picture of us I smile. She kept this with her all these years.
