Falling back

Chapter 15

Ian POV

    Nina fell asleep in my arms while I was talking to the police officer. Phoebe and Paul came running out with big smiles on their faces and tears dropping from their eyes but once they saw Nina they asked me what happened and I told them. 

    Once I told them everything I brought Nina up to her bedroom and tucked her in. I look at her for a minute and kiss her forehead "Sweet dream Neens" I was about to leave the room then something on the wall caught my eye.

    It was pictures of us. I look at them and smile, she kept all of these and still had them up I remember putting them up with her 

*Flashback*

    "BABE CAN YOU HELP ME WITH SOMETHING" I'am down stairs getting dinner ready when Nina starts to yell for me.

    "YEAH GIVE ME A MINUTE" I set the wooden spoon down and turn of the stove then run up stairs and into her room and see Nina is on the floor with hundreds of pictures surrounding her. "Ok what do need help with sweetheart".

    She looks up "Come here" she holds up different pictures and puts them in frames. "Ok I have all these pictures which I want to put up but I don't know where so can you help" "Of course" I give her a kiss on her forehead then we get to putting the pictures up. 

    There are pictures of me and her, her and her parents, her and her brother, and a bunch more. We spend half an hour putting them up she putted her family pictures in the living room and kitchen and friend pictures around the house. Then we have our pictures together on a wall in her room. 

    We stand in front of the pictures of us me holding her by the waist from behind. "Thank you" she says "You're welcome" I kiss her head then she turns her head and kisses me. 

*end of flashback*

    Those where the days just me and her I just wish I could go back and do it all again. I look around her room a bit more and find more stuff that she kept from the years that we were dating a jewelry that I gave her, notes, and some of my clothes they were in her closet and they seemed like they have been worn recently. 

     A knock on her bedroom door makes her stir but not wake up. I open in and Paul and Phoebe are standing there. "Hey is everything ok" they come in and see her laying in her bed, I nod "Yeah she's fine listen how about you guys go back home I'll stay here with her until she wakes up." They nod them leave.

    I wake up feeling sore, I sit up and crack my back then look around the first thing that I notice is that Nina is still asleep then I look at the clock, it's 9:46am. My phone starts to buzz and it's a text from my lawyer saying that Nikki's trial was moved up to next week on Wednesday. I text him back saying ok then go down stair to make breakfast. 

     I look in the fridge and see what I can make, I decide to make eggs, bacon, and waffles cause that is Nina's favorite. While I'm cooking Lynx comes up and rubs up against my legI bend down and pet her then go and feed her. 

    Everything is ready and looks good I was about to go and wake up Nina but she comes down stairs and rubs her eye's "What smells so good" she stops walking when she see's me "I..Ian what are you doing here?" I smile at her and show her the food and her face lights up "Well after Nikki came and attacked you, you passed out in my arms so I brought you up to your room then stayed here in so I could take care of you" she walks up to me and kisses my cheeks.

    "Thank you" she was about to go sit down but I put my arm around her waist and pulls her towards me. She looks shocked then I bend down and kiss her.
