Chapter 26

Batcoon's POV:

I walked out of the teleporter and into the main room. I saw Evan pace around the room as I saw everyone but David sitting sadly on the couch.

"Whoa what happened here it feels like someone had died," I said and I got everyone's attention.

"I saw what happened on the news," I said when no one had responded to me.

"Yeah don't believe everything the news fucking tells you," Tyler snapped at me making me flinch.

I felt something deep down inside of me stir in anger. My eyes widen and I saw Evan glare at Tyler making him flinch.

"Yes what you saw on the news is true but there are other things that we kept a secret from publics eye," Evan said and I looked around and still saw that David wasn't in the room.

"Where's David," I asked and suddenly Lui broke out sobbing making Marcel comfort him.

"What happened to David," I said more loudly having motherly instincts take over.

They may just be my friends but I feel like we're a big family. I saw that no one wanted to talk about it, so I put my hands on my hips and glared at them all. Craig squeaked and I put him down. I continued my glaring until Brock finally broke in.

"This mission was going so well. We were taking him to the prison where he belongs when we were ambushed by the Mickey Mouse Gang. There was so many people just trying to break one person out. David was in the bus with Seananners incase they ever got in. The bus driver was then shot and he had to take the wheel. That's when they broke in. The Mom gave Seananners a shot gun. Lui and Marcel barely made it when they shot David. They didn't hit anywhere vital but he was screaming in pain. He was shot in the leg and currently in the infirmary," Brock blurted out making my eyes wide.

"Brock," Evan exclaimed and I could feel Craig run himself on me.

"What Evan you can't fucking keep this from him. Stop trying to shelter someone who isn't helpless," Brock said angrily back at him.

I looked down at Craig and I could see him staring at me with wide green eyes. I nod my head and I turned back to look at the guys.

"I was going to give you the news that I have before this happened," I said and they looked at me.

"Would you like to say hi Craig," I said and Craig walks up to them.

Their eyes widen as Craig started to shift in front of them. I smiled at how easily Craig managed to make his shift. He told me that it hurt the first time he was forced to. Craig then got on his two feet and held his hands out for a hug. Tyler immediately took his chance and bear hugged him.

"I missed you too Tyler," Craig said laughing out loud.

The rest of the guys joined Tyler in his hug and I smiled softly at the moment. I then turned around and walked to the infirmary to check on David. I walked in and I saw that he was sleeping on the hospital bed. I slowly walked to him and I grabbed his hand in mine. He groaned and opened his eyes and I saw tired brown eyes.

"Hey David," I said and he smiles.

"I wish you would have came Jonathan. It probably would have went more better than it did," he said and I chuckled.

"Heard you got shot," I said and he moved his blanket and I sat a bandaged wrapped around his left leg.

"Looks like you're out of commission until this heals," I said and he nods his head.

"That's fine I'll take it as a vacation," he said and we heard a knock on the door.

I said come in and I'm came poking in Craig's head.

"David the best Irish bastard I know," Craig said once he entered the room.

"Craig but how," he asked and Craig gave him a hug.

"Jonathan helped but now look at this," he said and he shifted into a fox.

I bent down and picked him up making David gasp.

"No way that's cool," David said petting Craig.

I put him back down on the floor and Craig shifted back.

"I'm starting to get used to that now," Craig said happily.

"Hope you get better," Craig said giving David one last hug before leaving the room.

"Evan's being an overprotective prick for not letting you go," David said and I chuckled.

"Yeahs he's been told off by Brock when he told me what happened," I said and David shakes his head.

"Brock still thinks you should be second in command. Even though he's known Evan the longest he feels like that you and him are more of a perfect duo," he said and I sighed.

"He just needs to find the strength in himself. He's a great second in command," I said and I heard footsteps come up from behind.

"You really think so," Brock said and I nod my head.

"Yeah like I said before Evan chose you to be Second Command. That means following everything he does and question his choices if you think they could be wrong. You stood up for yourself and thought what would be the best course for the team, which makes a good leader quality," I said and he smiles.

"David you're awake," Lui said when he walked into the room.

"Of course I just got shot in the leg not the heart," David said opening his arms for a hug.

Lui accepted it and then started to talk about his day. I decided to get up and leave. I went to go see if Evan was alright. He was never good at taking losses. Tyler now has Craig who can comfort him while Evan doesn't have anyone. I knocked on his office door and I heard a muffled come in. I stepped inside and I could see he was sulking at his desk.

"Evan are you alright," I asked and he looks up at me.

I could see that his eyes were red and I quickly went to him and pulled him in for a hug. He quickly returned the hug and I rubbed his back while he let out deep sobs. I didn't think losing Adam to the Mickey Mouse Gang would affect him this hard. It was a little while were he broke apart the hug and wiped away his eyes.

"Sorry you shouldn't see me like that," he said and I just shrugged.

"It shows that you have emotions other than cockiness and happy. I love it when you seek comfort in others than hiding it away," I said and I blushed.

"That's why I don't let you go on missions," he suddenly said making my eyes widen.

"You have such an amazing view about the world that I don't want the dark reality of the real world to taint it," he said and I smiled sadly.

"That's it Evan. I do know the reality of our terrible town. I don't like to talk about my past but it has to do a lot about then. I've seen things that no child should have ever and yet I don't let it bother me," I said and he looks at me.

"I want to go on more missions. I want no other child to experience what I had. And I want to do it with you," I said and he smiles.

"Then I have a mission for you tomorrow," he said and I nod my head.

"Have you heard about the bounty hunter GassyMexican?"

I've decided that I'll give you little bit of snip its of Jonathan's Past. He won't talk about it just yet but he'll bring up some things he has experienced. Won't that be exciting. I also decided that this book will be updated every 3 days. So if the Third day comes and no update than it's alright to ask since I promised.

This will be awesome and the new villain has been introduced. Can you guess who he is ;) lol
