Prologue

Arianna's POV
I heard my mum, dad and step mum having a loud argument. I quietly go on the stairs to see what's going on.

M:"YOU CHEATED ON ME, FOR HER? WHY?" She started to cry.
Mel:"MAYBE BECAUSE, IM MORE GORGEOUS THAN YOU AND HE SAW YOU KISS ANOTHER GUY."
D:"I didn't–"
M:"So instead of talking to me about it, you decided to go behind my back and marry this..disgraceful woman? Who is lying because, the only guy I've kissed is you."

Her sadness turned into anger and she threw herself at Melissa, who I'm ashamed to call my step mum. This became a fight, that's when I went in between them.

Ari:"Please stop! You all should talk it out!"

Seems like Melissa didn't want to, as she scratched my cheek. It was like a cat that scratched me, quite visible and painful.

M:"HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO HER."

She slaps Mel as hard as she could, but Mel didn't give up and she got out some kind of knife, from her jacket and...stabbed my mum!

At this moment, she fell to the ground shocked at what's happening and I went to grab a cloth, to stop the bleeding from where she got stabbed.(which was in the stomach)

I put pressure on her wound and look back at dad. He's just standing there like he's seen a ghost. Melissa, on the other hand is wickedly smiling at what she's done.

I'm not about to give up on my mum! I need her!

Ari:"DAD, CALL THE AMBULANCE!" I try to snap him out of it but, he kept on staying in some type of trance.

Mel:"I would leave your mother to die, it's just her time to go. She deserved every bit of what I did." She focuses on her nails.
Ari:"You are the most horrible human being, I fucking hate you. My mum never deserved this."

Suddenly, she whacked me with the handle of the knife on my arm. As much as I was in agony, it wasn't gonna stop me from carrying my mum to the hospital.

We made it there. My legs were tired but still kept on going until we reached the reception.

After hours of waiting in the waiting area, one of the nurses finally came back. I was dying to know if she was alright or not.

Nurse:"Your mum has died due to loss of blood from the stab wound. I'm sorry for your loss,we've tried the best we could."

I began to shed a tear, I've now lost the best person to talk to and have fun with. Now the rest of my life is nothing but an accident waiting to happen.
