Your P.O.V.

"Hey, mom."

I smiled, hugging her tightly. She squeezed back, before pulling back to look at me. "You look so good! How have you been? Have you been eating properly, and getting enough-"

I laughed, nodding. "Yes, mom. I'm great, actually. Better than great. Amazing."

Raising an eyebrow, she smirked, looking over my shoulder at a rather shy Dinah. "And you, I'm assuming, must be the cause of her sickening happiness."

She called a few days ago, wanting me to visit, since she knew we both had time off. And, deciding that 6 months was a long enough wait for Dinah to meet my parents, I dragged her with me.

Scoffing, I wrapped my arm around Dinah's waist. "Yes, she is. Mom, this is Dinah Jane, my lovely, intelligent, beautiful-" She rolled her eyes, but grinned. "Girlfriend. And Dinah, this, is my mother. No number of adjectives could describe her perfectly."

I chucked, my mom nudging me. "It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Y/L/N." Dinah spoke nervously and held out her hand, but laughed in surprise when she was yanked into a hug.

She's a hugger.

"It's about time. Do you know how much she talks about you? It's quite annoying, actually. Dinah this, Dinah that, every single day."

Dinah looked speechless, a light blush dusting her cheeks. Giggling, I pecked her jaw softly when they pulled apart. "She's kidding, DJ."

The older woman made a noise. "You wish I was kidding. Anyways, come on in, lunch is just about finished." With that, my mother turned around as my girlfriend passed her, moving to whisper in my ear. "She's stunning, and seems like a keeper, too. Don't let her go."

I shook my head, smiling like an idiot. "Don't worry. I would never do such a stupid thing."

We entered the house, me locking the door behind us, turning back to see Dinah waiting.

"You okay, baby?"

Dinah nodded, sighing cutely. "I've never been so nervous before."

Pressing my lips to hers softly, I chuckled. "You shouldn't be. My mom loves you."

She groaned, running a hand through her hair. "I hope so. But did you see me? God, I was so awkward."

"I thought it was cute."

Smiled, and kissed me again. "You would." She muttered, cupping my face. I deepened the kiss slightly, moving my hands close to her backside, before breaking apart.

"Hey, hey! Keep it PG!" My mom yelled from the kitchen, peeking her head around the corner to wave a spoon at us.

"Mom!"

She laughed, as I hid my face in Dinah's sweater. Taking her hand, I gave a living room tour, pointing out all the little trinkets lying around, as well as photographs. It felt nice sharing such personal aspects of my life with her, knowing she understood.

"Lunch is done!" Mom called, a few minutes later. I stood up from the couch, hauled Dinah up with me, and dragged us into the kitchen.

Dinah pulled my chair out, before doing the same for my mother, smiling shyly at the two of us as she took her own seat.

"This smells great, Mrs. Y/L/N. Thank you so much."

My mom smiled at Dinah's compliment. "You're welcome, sweetie. Now, eat up. My husband and sons should be home soon."

We both nodded, beginning to dig in. We made polite conversation, before my mom decided to jump the gun. "So, Dinah. Have you and Y/N done the dirty deed yet?" I coughed, harshly, choking on the piece of chicken that was going down my throat.

Dinah was tomato red, rubbing my back, trying to help me out. And my mother, of course, was laughing her ass off. "Why would you ask that?" I breathed, coughing again.

"What? It was a harmless question, was it not?"

"Jesus, mom." I poked my tongue out at her, before leading us to my bedroom.

"Mom's am I right?"
