Finding a house

A few months later ~

We're driving in Josh's car looking for a house.
Josh and Grace are now 3 months old and they are as gorgeous as ever. Grace has grown her hair and it's a bit curly now. Jack has also, but his isn't curly.


We pull up in front of a house. It's a little boring.

We walk in and this is what we see. Bare walls, bare floors. No furniture, nothing.

Josh and I look at each other and say, "No."

We get in the car and Josh scrolls through the book.

"Okay, we have been through 4 houses, and we hate them all. The next one actually looks pretty good." Josh says.

"Okay." I smile.

I look behind at the babies. How lucky am I to have them.

15 minutes of driving and we arrive at a beautiful stone house.

"Wow."

We hop out of the car, I hold Grace and Josh holds Jack.

We walk in and what we see us utterly beautiful. The walls have painting on it. There is a nice bamboo felt floor. There is a small chandelier as a light. We walk Ito the kitchen and there is a base but no appliances. That's alright, I guess. There are 3 bedrooms.

"Well, what do you think honey?" Josh asks me.

I stop looking through the booklet and say, "I love it.. but I don't think it's affordable for us."

"We can rent it.." Josh persuades.

"Hm.. I don't know." I whimper.

"I'll tell you what, we can keep looking for more places - it's only 1:30. If we don't find anything, I guess we can be reasonable and work something out."

"Ga ga ga" Jack gaggles.
Grace giggles at it.

We went to about 3 other places after that and had no luck.

"Okay, let's try this one." Josh reasons.

We get out and look at the small little flat. Yes, it is a little bare, but it's not bad. The bedrooms are a good size, and the living room.

"I can work on improving the front yard. And for the bedrooms, my mate works in specializing paints. We can decorate the rooms." Josh says.

"Yep, and I can work on the kitchen and living room. Oh! Doesn't your friend Jake do bathrooms? We can get him." I say.

"Okay, so should we do it?" Josh asks.

I laugh. "Anything is better than living at your parents house!!"

Josh laughs.

He goes and talks with the owner of the house.
He walks back to me with a happy face.

"We can move in now, or any time this week."

"How about tomorrow?" I ask the owner.

"Done! Thank you! See you tomorrow."

When we arrive at Josh's parents house, we eat dinner, get the kids settled and go to sleep. After we found the house today, we went out and bought some kitchen and bedroom appliances. We got a pink cot, a blue cot, a king bed, kitchen accessories, some couches and much more. We achieved a lot today.
We spoke to Josh's mum and dad about it an they were sad to let us go, but proud. They're really lovely actually.

"Josh, honey? I'm really glad you came back. Thank you."

"I am too. I love you."

And then we dozed off to sleep.

The next day, we all got up and showered. Josh wore a cute little top saying - Raww! I'm a dinosaur! - on it and Grace wore a pink little jump suit!! It was adorable.

Later on when we said our goodbyes, we left to our new house. The appliances supply van with all the things we bought were there. We opened up. Josh organized his painter friend and bathroom friend to come and they were settled on that.

We decided that Jack's room would be blue, and have wall stickers of dinosaurs on them.

Grace should have pink walls with flower stickers.

Once that was decided, and the bathroom was still in construction we worked on the living room.

"It should be... here!" Josh says pointing at a spot where the sofa should be placed.

"And the other one here." I say, placing it over.

We put in the coffee table, and the TV.

We put the appliances that are for the kitchen IN the kitchen and checked the house. Josh picked me up and gave me a massive hug.
