2 weeks later,
It's 7.29am in the morning and I can finally go back to dance ~ to the place which is my second home. To the woman who treats me as her daughter. To the girls who are like my sisters. To the moms who support me. The ALDC.
I hop out of bed, and get into the shower. I turn on the tap and it is hot.. mm, just as I like it.
When I do everything I need, I turn the tap off, smack on my robe. I walk to my slippers, slip them on and open my wardrobe cupboard.
Hm, today I will wear my baby blue leotard. I have now grown up maturely and I have bigger sizes around the chest. Yes, you know.
I quickly pack my bag with some clothes to put on top.
I then afterwards go to the mirror, to put my makeup on and do my hair. I did it in a side fishtail braid and pop in a ribbon.
"Hey honey." Josh says to me.
"Joshhh!" I say to him. He kissed me on the cheek and I do back.
"I'm so excited you're going back!" Josh exclaims.
"Me too!" I laugh. "So what are your plans today?"
"Me.. I have a few job interviews."
Josh announces.
"Yay, good job!!" I congratulate him. "Now go, I need to get ready and go."
He chuckles.
I go to my 2 makeup trays and get some foundation. I have fairly smooth, clear skin and I don't like pilling it up too much because it makes it icky, but makeup is my thing. I put on some blusher, apply light lipstick, some mascara and I'm ready. I grab my shoes, and my custom made tap ones, put them in my bag and say goodbye to Josh.
I get in my car and drive to the ALDC. I had just recently got a license and I steer away every excuse to ride with Josh. Nothing towards him, I just like to drive. It keeps my head clear and keeps me concentrated on something other than worries.
For those of you who are still wondering, Jack and Grace are with their grandparents.
I finally arrive at the ALDC. 8:53. phew, on time. I walk in and Gia is at the front desk. I lean over and hug her. Gia is amazing.
I walk into the dancers den and place my stuff down. Chloe is in there too, so I hug her and say hello. We talk for a while, and I say hello to everyone else who comes through. I run up to the viewing room and say hello to all the moms, except one. Because she's not there.
I run into Studio A, and talk to Abby and then everyone arrives at 9:00.
"Okay, welcome girls! Great job last week!! It was one of those amazing performances that could win every single week. Even the solos! Okay, over to the pyramid. On the bottom of the pyramid is Mackenzie. You did well in the group dance, but you slipped and almost injured yourself. Next is Kendall, you messed up two turns. You need to work harder. KENDALL! Don't you look up at your mom, focus on what I am saying to you! This is part of the problem!" Abby says then gets interrupted by Jill.
"She doesn't deserve that low on the pyramid!"
"Then who does?" Abby pushes.
"MADDIE! She hasn't been here for ages."
"Oh, close your mouth before something happens!" Abby says.
"Like what?!" Jill further pushes.
"Alright Kendall, due to your mothers action, you will not be participating this week." Abby says.
Jill continues yelling and also curses a lot but anyway. The ALDC isn't the ALDC without drama.
"Next, on the middle of the pyramid is Nia. Well done, you need to work on energy though.
Paige is next, and Brooke. You both need to work on facial expressions and energy."
On top of the pyramid, we have 2. Maddie and Chloe! Maddie, welcome back to the ALDC!! Chloe, amazing job last week!"

"1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, excellent!" Abby says in sync of the music beats.
I am sitting here waiting for my solo and all I can think about is Chloe. She has turned into something extraordinary. I think she may be better than me.
She's amazing at lyrical, she's telling a brilliant story and she's... She's just extraordinary. It's hard to believe the difference he made. Not only in lyrical, but in acro, jazz, hip hop, etc.
"Amazing job Chloe! Definitely a winning piece." Abby congratulates her.
"Maddie, you're up."
I get a tap routine and it's pretty easy. I think too easy. I think Abby is doing this and giving me easy things because I haven't danced for ages. But this? It's too easy. I can even do it with my eyes closed.
