My thoughts crowded my mind making it unable to sleep

The thing that happened with Ian tonight, that could have been Jenn lying on the ground with a bullet through the torso, that could have been her in Louie's coma right now.

I couldn't think of the fact of losing her, nor leaving her.

Snapping from my deep thought i get up from the bed trying not to wake Jenn's slumber.

"Why are you up so late Shawn?" a voice emerged from the kitchen making me jump. Shannon.

"Too much on my mind" I whisper making her curious

"Like? it can't be that complicated with you and blue eyes up there" She laughed.

I shake my head, "What if i can't protect her Shan, what if she ends up like..." i close my eyes tight not wanting to think of the thought.

"Shawn" She exhales, " she's a smart girl, and you Mendes, your different then Ian was, plus i saw it this morning, you told her to stay here and she stayed put." She answered before continuing, "Shawn, this job is tough, making decisions you don't even want to think about" She says making me confused on what she was trying to get out.

" Shawn, i'm saying this just like Louie would, you love this girl, She's changed you, i've seen it. You let her go, your days will be over, I know this job is complicated but she is one thing you don't want to let go, She will understand the complications, She'd do anything to keep you safe, just like you would for her." Shannon smiled.

"Thanks shan, how's louie? any progress?" i ask as i run my hands through my messy hair.

"He's better, he'll get there Mendes." She smiled while walking back upstairs to be stoped by a tired Jenn.

"Well look who it is, sleeping beauty, i was just going up see you two tomorrow" Shan laughed glancing at both me and Jenn before leaving.

I was awaken by my phones ring went off, slowly i open my eyes exposing them to the bright light of my my phone to look at the New Messages.

Unknown: what happen tonight wasn't an accident, tell your pretty boyfriend that if he doesn't hand over what's mine, your gonna have a problem on your hands, instead of those small blade marks, he'll be dead.

My eyes started to tear at the massages i knew it was Ian, my breathing got heavy when i realized Shawn wasn't in the bed.

Rapidly my body shot up and i quickly made myself down stairs where i met a very stressed Shawn and a tired Shannon.

"Well look who it is, sleeping beauty, i was just going up see you two tomorrow" Shan laughed glancing at both me and Shawn before leaving.

"Babe you okay you look like someone was just murdered in front of you what's up"

'oh shawn only if you knew' i thought to myself

"No nothing i though maybe your wounds started to bleed again so i was worried silly" i laughed smirking getting close to the shirtless boy.

Kissing his lips i sat myself on the counter and took him into a bear hug.

"Shawn, what if today you had been in a coma to or worse you've would have died.." I whisper into his ear.

"Baby as long as your here for me to come back to, i'll always be here" Shawns says pushing the strands of hair away from my face.

"Tomorrow why don't you go out with sage and your friends get your mind off all of this." he laughed as i mid in agreement smiling.

"cmon now lets go back to bed baby" He kisses my forehead before picking me up and bring me back up to bed.
