Corey and Justin drove their car while everyone else went in the car that we came in. The burger bar was about 10 minutes from the field so it wasn't too terribly far away. When we walked into the restaurant, Justin and Corey had already gotten a table for eight. We headed over towards the table and took our seats. I ended up sitting across from Corey not next to him like I wanted to.
The waitress came to the table and took all of our drink orders before leaving and handing the order to the person at the drink section.
"Corey, you had an awesome game today! My mom said. "And so did you Justin!"
"Thank you!" both boys said in unison.
Everyone was looking at their menus trying to decide what they were going to have. When our waitress came back with all our of drinks, she asked if we were ready to order and everyone said yes. The waitress, who's name tag said Stacy, started with my mom and Jody. They of course, both ordered salads.
"Come on mom! We are at a burger bar! Do you have to order a salad?" I asked laughing.
"Yes sweetie. It's healthy for you. Maybe you should get one too. We have been eating our a lot lately." She said raising her eyebrows.
"Maybe I will." I said scanning the menu while Stacy waited for me to order. "Eh. Just kidding. I'll have the trophy burger."
Stacy went around and took everyone else's order then walked away. As soon as she was a good distance from our table, my mom threw a spoon at me.
"Ow." I said picking up the spoon. "What was that for?"
"You didn't get a salad. Instead you got the biggest burger on the menu!" She exclaimed.
"Yeah? I'm hungry." I said half serious and half laughing.
"Hungry enough to eat a two pound hamburger with another pound of bacon. Not to mention the steak fries and cheese that come with it?" She asked.
"Yup. And I'm gonna eat it all." I replied sticking my tongue out at her.
"And if you don't?" She said smirking and cocking her head to the side.
"I'll cut my hair so it is shoulder length." I said. My mom has always wanted me to cut my hair and donate it because it goes back mid back, but I'm just too scared and I'm not a big fan of having short hair. I love it on other people, but it doesn't work for me.
"Deal." My mom said reaching across the table motioning for me to shake her hand, and I did.
We chatted it up while we were waiting for our food to come out. Noah asked Kyle, Corey, and Justin if they could come to Illinois again and watch one of his baseball games.
"I would love to watch!" Justin answered.
"Same here little squirt." Corey said taking Noah and giving him a noogie.
"Hey watch the hair!" He shouted squirming away from Corey.
"Whatcha gonna do kid?" Corey said laughing.
"I'm gonna kick your butt!" Noah said playfully punching Corey.
"Id like to see you try. I'm over a foot taller than you!" Corey exclaimed.
"Hey! I'm like 5'5"!" Noah argued crossing his arms against his chest.
"Yeah? And I'm 6'4". So good luck beating me up." Corey said putting him arm around Noah's shoulders.
Just as they stopped arguing (playfully) our waitress came back with our food. She brought everyone's out, but mine.
"I will be right back with yours. I just couldn't carry it with the rest of the stuff." She said walking back into the kitchen to grab my food.
When she came back, she put the plate in front of me. I looked at it and immediately sung down into my chair and glanced at my mother.
"Good luck." She smirked while beginning to eat her salad.
I started eating away at it slowly, but it was big. Really big. Everyone else was finished while I still had about half of my burger left.
"Adrianne, we are going to order some dessert. Would you like any?" My mom asked sarcastically.
I didn't say anything, I only gave her a glare and continued to eat my burger. I would say I was starting to feel full, but I felt full a long time ago. I was starting to feel sick, but I only had about five more bites.
At the same time that everyone finished their desserts, I finished my burger.
"Oh my lord." Kyle said shocked. "You actually ate the WHOLE thing."
"Ya." I said sinking back into my chair and wrapping my arms around my stomach.
"Well Adrianne. I'm going to give you credit. That was pretty impressive." My mom said in a defeated tone.
"Do you way like that all the time?" Jeff asked curiously.
"Not this much. But yeah, I definitely have an appetite." I said with a little laugh.
"I think I know what you're thinking Jeff. How is she still so skinny?" Noah butted in. "Well we really don't know. Cuz the way she eats, you'd think she would say 700 pounds."
"Noah!" I yelled.
"What! I didn't say anything bad! I still said you were skinny." He said defending himself.
"Okay okay you two. That's enough." My mom said getting up. "I'm going to the restroom. Behave."
"Jeff, I'm going to go with her. Why don't you go pay for lunch." Jody said handing Jeff the check.
Kyle, Justin, and Noah all started a conversation together while I sat in silence watching Corey text on his phone. Suddenly he looked up at me.
"My friend Alex just said he was having a bonfire/party tonight out at his house." Corey said. "Wanna go with me?"
