Chapter ONE!
"Lucy would you come down the stairs, please" her mother said.
"Yes, I will be down in a minute" she called out.
Her mom was downstairs making breakfast in the kitchen. When she was walking downstairs and into the kitchen,
"Yes mom"
"Good Morning dear," her mom said.
"Good Morning, Mom."
"What's for breakfast?" she asked sitting at the table for breakfast.
"We're having eggs and bacon and pancakes."
"MOM!! You forgot I was vegetarian," lucy groaned.
"Oh sorry sweetie I did forget, well you can just have pancakes and eggs how does that sound"?
"Uh fine," she said.
Lucy got up and got a plate and a fork then sat back down, with her mom joining her and serving her
"When will dad be home, Mom."
"I don't really know, I haven't heard from the general. I hope he's okay."
"Me too, well mom I have to get to school," Lucy said getting up from the table.
"Okay bye sweetie," her mom said.
"Bye mom." lucy said walking down the hall to the front door.
She went to check the mail before she went to school but there was nothing there so she left so she can catch the city bus. She walked to the bus stop, the bus arrived shortly after and she got on paying her fee then looked around trying to find a seat. She sat down and looked out the window the bus the whole way there. Soon enough, the bus stopped and she got off and walked into her school. Walking straight to her locker, she then heard her phone ring. She reached into her pocket and saw a text message from her friend, Hanna.
{Text:HannaBanana}
*Hey Girly can u meet me in the bathroom ASAP*
Lucy sighed and replied,
*Yeah sure, I will be there in a min*
Shutting her locker, she quickly walked to the bathroom. "Hanna you here?" she said.
"BOO!" Hanna screamed.
"AHH! Hanna why would you do that?!"
"I'm sorry," Hanna said feeling guilty.
"So, what's the news Hanna Banana?"
"Well I heard that we have that creepy science teacher Mr.Huffman.'' said Hanna.
''Eww really he gives me the creeps.'' Lucy replied.
''Can you walk with me to my locker.'' Hanna asked.
''Yeah sure, but we have to hurry if we dont wanna be late to Mrs.Walters' class" said Lucy.
Walking out the bathroom and into the halls, they approched their Dean of students, Mr.Sims.
''Ahem ladies, you better hurry up if you dont wanna be late for class" he said.
''Yes we are on our way right now." the girls replied.
Then they quickly walked to Hanna's locker and she got her books and put her pen behind her ear and they ran to Mrs.Walters' class and sat down in their seats.
''Good Morning Lucy and Hanna" Mrs.Walters said
'' Good Morning Mrs. Walters" they said.
''Please get out your notebooks and write Pop Quiz on the top of the paper''
''What?! A pop quiz!" Hanna whisphered
''Yes you forgot we have a pop quiz on the poet Andrew Love."Lucy whispered.
''Uhh" Hanna said, "I totally forgot" turning to her paper. Then she read, Number 1 is What type of poems did he write? Number 2 What emotions did he show in his poems? Number 3 is How many standaz are there? Number 4 is the poem in first person or third?
''These questions are so easy," Hanna said. "I didnt even have to study''
''Shhh... No Talking'' Mrs.Walters said
Lucy and Hanna got up to turn in their quizzes. ''Done already ladies,'' Mrs.Walters said
''Yes we are done'' they said ''can I use the bathroom Mrs.Walters'' said Hanna.
''Sure go ahead'' Mrs.Walters replied.
Lucy went back to her seat and doodled in her notebook then she heard a whisper saying
''Hey Lucy'' she quickly turned around to see a girl with red hair staring at her then Lucy said ''Yes?''then the girl said ''Um my name is Emma''
''I was wondering if we can get to know each other'' Emma said softly.
"Oh hello Emma" Lucy said "it's nice to meet you"
"I like your hair" Lucy said giving her a gentle smile
"Thanks" Emma said smiling.
Shorty after Hanna arrived in the room sitting back in her seat "Hanna this is Emma" Lucy said "Oh Hi Emma" Hanna said.
"Hello" Emma said
"Maybe we can get to know each other too "Emma said
"I will be glad too" said Hanna
Ring, Ring "Okay class put up your books and go to your next class" Mrs.Walters says they all put away their books and leave the room.
"See ya later Emma" Lucy called over her shoulder
"Bye Lucy" Emma said
"Bye Emma" Hanna said
"She is so quiet" Hanna said
"She did sound shy when she said hi to me in class" Lucy said, "You just have to give her time to break out of her shell"
"hopfully it wont be to long before she does" Hanna replied as they walked to their next class
"I have to go to Gym" Hanna said runing to the gym
"BYE TO YOU TOO" Lucy yelled after her but she was already threw the doors. Lucy walked to art and sat down and started drawing a rose on the side of her paper.
shortly after Lucy got a text message from Hanna saying
*Hey are we sitting with Emma at lunch today?*
*Yeah sure if she wants us too* Lucy said
Then colored her rose with colorpencils a few minutes went by she got up and put her picture away and she sat back down and plugged in her head phones and turned up her music.
A few minutes went by and then the bell rang she paused her music and walked out of class and then turned the corner to walk to her locker for her lunch on the way to the lunchroom she saw Emma in the halls,
"Hey Lucy" Emma said
"Hey Emma" Lucy replied
"Wanna sit with me and Hanna at lunch today?" Lucy asked
"Sure wanna walk with me to the lunchroom?" Lucy asked Emma
"Sure" Emma said.
