Chapter Twenty-Six
Emma looked at Lucy and smiled. "Yes I will" Emma said lifting Lucy up and kissing her. Lucy slipped the ring on Emma's finger. They hugged and then Lucy said "Let's go" "Okay.Wait aren't we going to tell your parents and my mom?" Emma asks. "Well yeah soon enough." Lucy says smiling and grabbing Emma's hand as they walk. They walk past people leaving food trucks and getting off rides. They enter the parking lot and climb in the car. Lucy buckles herself in and starts the car Emma buckled herself in too. Emma turns up the radio and listens while she looks out the window. Lucy reverses out the parking spot and drives down the path to turn. She stops and then turns right and goes down the road. She stops at a red light and Emma looks at her and Lucy looks back "I'm glad I'm going to be your wife" she says smiling. "Me too"Lucy says. Lucy pushes down on the gas and drives down the road. Emma continues to look out the window as she sings a song on the radio. Lucy taps her fingers on the steering wheel to the beat. "Your a great singer baby" Lucy says keeping her eyes on the road. "Thank you love" Emma replies. Lucy turns left and then drives down the long road. "Ugh. I'm so tired" Lucy yawns "I bet you are" Emma replies. "Good thing it's Friday" Lucy says. "Yeah, that's a good thing" Emma replies smiling. Lucy turns on the street her house is on and continues to tap her fingers to the beat while driving down the street. Emma glances at the time and it's almost 2:30 in the morning! Lucy pulls in her drive way and parks the car and turns the ignition off. Emma unlocks the doors and climbs out Lucy follows her on the porch. Lucy unlocks the front door and steps aside for Emma to go first. "Thank you" Emma whispers "Your welcome" Lucy whispers back. They walk down the hall and see Lucy's mom and dad cuddling on the couch sleeping. Lucy smiles and continues to walk down the hall. "I think my mom is sleeping upstairs" Emma says Lucy nods and walks up the stairs. They walk down the hall to Lucy's room. They climb in bed and cuddle and have small talk until they are sound asleep.
