Chapter THREE!

"Yes Mr. Huffman" she asked

"I would like you to draw something for my niece  Kayla?" said Mr. Huffman

"Sure what does she like?" replied Lucy

"Kayla likes puppies with a bow on there head"

"How old is she?" asked Lucy

"She is seven years old and she asked if anyone in my class knows how to draw and I said yes her name is Lucy and she asked me if you can draw her a puppy"

"Well I will get that done for her" said Lucy

Lucy smiled and then walked back to her sit and sat down and gathered her books together "so what did Mr. Creepy Face say?" asked Hanna "He wanted me to draw his niece a puppy with a bow on their head I don't know why though" "Weird" Hanna said giving Lucy a confused look.

The bell rang shortly after "okay class have a good day" said Mr. Huffman the girls went to there lockers and got their bags "Wanna come over to my place for dinner Emma?" Lucy asked, "Sure just let me text my mom and see if its okay" replied Emma. "You can come to Hanna" said Lucy "Thanks but I have plans with my dad" Hanna says "Maybe next time then" said Emma "I wish I can see my dad" said Lucy "What happened to him?" asked Emma

"He is in the Army he left went there when I was seven" "Oh will I hope he gets home soon" said Emma "Yeah me too" replied Lucy "Bye Guys see you guys tomorrow" said Hanna "Bye Hanna Banana" said Lucy "Bye Hanna" said Emma "My Mom said Yes its fine" "Okay cool ill have my mom drop you off if you'd like" said Lucy "Okay thank you" said Emma

The girls walked out the building and waited for Lucy's mom to arrive while they were waiting Emma said "Do you ever get to talk to your dad?" "Sometimes on the weekends but he is always busy" said Lucy "What about your dad?" asked Lucy "My dad Died when I was nine" "Oh I'm so sorry what happened?" asked Lucy "He had Cancer" Emma said before Lucy could say anything else her mom pulled up. Beep!! "she's here lets go" said Lucy "Okay" said Emma

They both walked up to the car and Lucy got in the front and Emma got in the back "Hey girls" said Lucy's mom "Hi mom" said Lucy "Hi Mrs. Tate" said Emma "Where is Hanna?" "She had plans with her dad" said Lucy "Oh Okay" "Mom this is Emma" said Lucy "Hello Emma" Lucy's mom said. They soon arrived at Lucy's house "We will be in my room until dinner is done" said Lucy "Okay Honey have fun" said Lucy's mom the girls entered Lucy's room "WOW! your room is awesome" said Emma "Thanks" said Lucy.

Lucy's mom knocked on the door "Come in Mom" said Lucy "I thought you girls might be hungry for an afterschool snack" said Lucy's mom "Thanks mom" Lucy said as she grabbed the tray and put it on her nightstand "Thanks Mrs. Tate" said Emma "Call me Mrs. T" said Lucy's Mom "Okay Mrs. T" said Emma "Lucy's mom smiled and walked out the room" " Lucy grabbed some crackers and a carrot and ate it "Want some?" asked Lucy "No not right now thank you though" said Emma "I am vegetarian" said Lucy.

"Oh really?" said Emma "Yeah" said Lucy "When did you become vegetarian?" asked Emma "Ever since I was little my mom and dad use to tell me when they tried to feed me meat I used to smack it out their hands and yell NO!" "That's pretty funny" said Emma.

Lucy walked to her IPod and turned on some music "Any play list you want me to turn on?" asked Lucy "No its ok" said Emma Lucy walked back to her bed and jumped on it "Its so boring here" said Lucy "Its better than at my house" Emma said looking at the floor. "What's wrong with your house" "My stepdad he is abusive" "To you?" asked Lucy. "and to my mom" said Emma "That's terrible Emma I'm so sorry" Emma didn't respond she just stared at the floor with tears in her eyes.

"Are you Okay" asked Lucy "I guess" said Emma wiping  her tears off her face. "Would you like to stay at my place tonight?" asked Lucy "No thanks I have to make sure my mom is okay" said Emma "I'm worried he might be hitting her while I'm gone" said Emma "Would you like to go home?" asked Lucy "Yes I think I should I'm sorry" said Emma "No biggie" replied Lucy " Ill have my mom drop you off" Lucy said "No its ok I can walk" said Emma "I will go with you" said Lucy "No its fine" Emma said.

"I don't want you walking alone" said Lucy "Okay fine you can come" Emma said Emma gathered her stuff and walked out the room "IM GONNA WALK EMMA HOME MOM!!" yelled Lucy "Okay you girls be safe" said Lucy's Mom the girls walked out the front door and on the sidewalk "Umm... Lucy" Emma said in a low voice "Yes Emma" Lucy said "Would you like to stay with me tonight?" said Emma "Yes sure ill have to text my mom" Lucy replied.

"Okay" Emma said with a half smile Lucy reach into her pocket and got her phone and texted her mom.

{Text: Mom}

*Hey Mom Can I stay at Emma's house for the night?*

Then she continued to walk with Emma "Would your mom care if I stayed the night?" asked Lucy "She wouldn't mind" replied Emma

They soon arrived at Emma's house Emma stopped in her tracks and stared at the drive way Lucy looked at her and asked "What's Wrong?" " He is here" Emma said then she ran to the front door and swung it open Lucy ran after her Emma called out "MOM!!!! Where are you!!!!" Emma Ran in the kitchen and found her mom on the floor Emma ran to her and fell on her knees "MOM! WHAT HAPPENED!" I'm okay, I just fell and busted my knee Lucy just stared at the women on the floor "Did he touch you?" Emma asked while helping her mom get up.

"No he is downstairs" said Emma's mom "Mom this is Lucy she is my friend from school" said Emma "Hello Lucy" said Emma's Mom "My name is Ella" said Emma's mom. "You girls go on up to Emma's room" Emma's mom said "Are you sure your okay?" asked Emma "Yes I'm fine" Emma's mom said with a smile.

Emma and Lucy went up to Emma's room Lucy's phone vibrated she got it out her pocket and saw Text Message from Mom she read the message it said.

{Mom}

*Yes! you can stay the night at Emma's just make sure you call in the morning love you sweetie*

Lucy smiled and Texted back

*Okay Mom I love you too*

"I will make sure he doesn't touch your mom ever again" said Lucy

"Thank you so much for staying with me tonight" said Emma.

"No problem" Emma says giving Lucy a smile.
