Chapter Twenty Four!
Lucy keeps driving then stops at another red light. Emma lays her head on the armrest and Lucy leans over kisses her cheek. Emma smiles and closes her eyes to fall asleep as Lucy acierates on the gas again. Hanna listens to the music while she rolls down the window to see the stars.
Lucy turns down Hanna's street and Hanna rolls up the window and puts her phone in her pocket. Lucy pulls in her drive way and parks the car. "Thanks" Hanna says getting out the car "Welcome" Lucy says before Hanna shuts the door. Hanna walks up her drive way and on her porch. Lucy watches her go in then reverse out the drive way and down the road.
Lucy turns down the radio a little and dials her moms number. Ring, ring "Hello?" her mom answers after a minute "Hey, mom me and Emma wont be back until later I'm taking her somewhere special" Lucy says. "Oh, okay be safe" her mom says. "We will love you". Lucy says "Love you too" her mom says. before the line goes dead.
Lucy turns up the radio a little and drives down the road. Emma still sleeping Lucy looks her way so she can switch lanes. Her eyes fall on Emma and she smiles then turns back to the road. She switches lanes and speeds threw a yellow light. She continues down the road then turning right on to a dirt road.
She changes the radio station she sings along to 2 chord by Sleeping With Sirens. Emma is still passed out this is her favorite song. Lucy taps her finger on the stirring wheel to the guitar. After a few minutes they arrive to the surprise. Lucy parks the car in the parking lot and unbuckles herself. She gets out and walks to the other side of the car and opens Emma's door. She Kisses Emma's lips causing her to walk up "We are here love" Lucy says.
"Yay" Emma says threw a yawn.
Emma climbs out the car and see's they are at a park "Why are we at a park?" Emma asks confused "You'll see" Lucy says smiles. Lucy grabs Emma's hand and walks to the field that's flooded with people.
Lucy sits down along sit Emma. "Look up" Lucy says Emma looks up then BOOM! CRACK! "FIREWORKS!" Emma yells smiling. "Yeah" Lucy says smiling at Emma BOOM! goes another firework. "They're so beautiful" Emma says. "Like you" Lucy says leaning to kiss Emma then Emma blushes and kisses Lucy back.
"You're the best babe" Emma says as their lips depart.
"I know" Lucy says smiling.
"Hey look there's rides over there" Emma says pointing to a ride.
"Let's go then" Lucy says getting up and grabbing Emma's hand.
BOOM! another firework goes off as they walk past people coming from rides to go sit down.
They make their way threw the crowds of people. To a ticket booth line "How many should we get?" Emma asks. "How many do you want?" Lucy asks. "I don't know" Emma says. "Okay I'll get 20 tickets then" Lucy says stepping forward in the line.
