I looked at her with a shocked expression, trying to make sure that I understood her completely.

"The Devil? That's a bit harsh." I winced at her choice of words, I mean regardless of what is being spread about him.

To label someone as awful as that is just beyond far, I wouldn't be able to put on my worst enemy's. It was some things that meant to be said and other times, you need to just let it be. She never had issues with opening her mouth and giving her high criticism of people, I just never thought of how vicious she could. But maybe I was just too used to her abuse...

"With someone like him, it's pretty much a fucking compliment." She spat, looking away and turning towards me. "Why did he acknowledge you in that way?" She crossed her arms.

"How am I supposed to know? I barely know the guy or let along why he is so strange." I shrugged, giving my honest answer. All of this was brand new to me, god knows I wouldn't have came along but it was something my friends could enjoy.

"Are you sure? Don't lie to me, I need to know the truth. Do you talk to him?"

"No, but the way you sound is really making me want to steer clear of him. What's his deal anyway?" My heart was starting to pound a bit faster, looking at her. She was too focused on him as a individual, I would've thought she wanted him but she was fully devoted to her prick of a boyfriend. When she's not cheating, of course...

She sighed, running a hand through her brown waves before turning away from. I was starting to think she was avoiding the question, but I realized why she walked away.

I turned around and he was standing there with an amused look up on his face, he seemed quite smug at the fact he was intimidating. But my cousin wasn't like me, it didn't take much for her to scared off.

She was either avoiding confrontation or leaving me to deal with her mess; You could never be too sure with her, it was always something with her.

"I see you showed up." Zayn said, removing the glasses off his perfectly shaped face.

He was so smooth, but so overly confident. It was like he just knew I couldn't stay away, that I was eager to be in the likes of him. He had to be used towards the attention of women, he couldn't tell when one was being serious and another was playing hard to get...

But too bad that my pride was deeper than his ego, his assumptions were going to be terminated before they even left his mouth.

"No, I was dragged here by my friends." I pointed out, looking over towards them and seeing as them watching us talk. "But I didn't expect for you to show up, the night is almost over."

"Almost over?" He laughed as if it was the most funny thing I said. "It's just beginning." He turned, placing his arm on my shoulder.

"Yeah, but some of us have work to attend to - so...." I stated, looking down at his arm.
