A Peek Behind The Veil

Hopeless

I stumble and fall when I try to walk among masses
I stop what I'm doing when a thought of you strikes me
I try to hold back tears as pain and hopelessness surround me as an ocean
Emptiness that cannot be ignored

Bleak and lonely existence
Where pieces of me are missing in a labyrinth
I try to find my way to change the world's turn
But with half of me gone what is left to learn?

An observer of downfall and collapse
A feeler of intrepid loss and grief
A knower of sorrow and struggle
Unhappiness that I can't control
Powerless giver of hollow truth
Truth without ears to hear

Happiness comes without warning and leaves without gratitude
Anger left behind in it's wake
Wanting to be happy, to have faith, to follow the God's tracks of righteousness
Holding on as I race towards an abyss at the tracks ending
