A Peek Behind The Veil

Life

We are alive and living our life
We follow the path
And stay in the light
When it's cold, we gather
And in the sun, make love
We sleep in the shadows
But are not a part of
We search for a home
Among somebodies eyes
Our hearts beating out loud
For we are alive
We dream of the future
And forget in the morn
Sometimes stumbling along
As if we're first born
We ask all the questions
For the answers are none
So we cling to each other
Till our lives are done
