Dark shades block the deadly sun closing me into a cold hollow room
Everyday somehow farther away
From everything i used to love
New friends and circumstance
Beaten down together
Yet still held apart
Our minds are always in opposition
Looking in other directions
Nothing but a cracked screen
To reattach me to what i used to know
The tyranny disguised as normal
No longer my own man
Now a leash lingers behind me
Lonesome and longing
To see the world again with easy eyes
Dreaming of it every night
Here i feel so alone
No one knows me anymore
I remain in this room watching
The sad sun circle the sky
In a terrible timelapse im trapped
Waiting, wondering, wandering
Praying these days give way to you
So that i may emerge once more
And look upon the world anew
