Elijah's pov.

I knew it was going to take a while for her to warm up to me but I'm willing to wait. I watched her in the basement torture the doctor and release all her anger. No one was going to stop her and honestly I didn't want to. When she was done I followed her up to the kitchen, and Christine and Aidan stayed down there to talk with her mom. I wanted to get to know her better and he to get to know me. I'm looking around the kitchen when she asked if I'm hungry.

I asked where the food was and she pointed to a cabinet and I looked inside. I asked if she wanted something too. She just shook her head and looked at her hands. I made me a sandwich and sat down to eat. "So do you feel any better?" "Not really." "Do you want to see a nice view to calm your nerves?" "Why not." "Alright then, I'll leave a note telling your sister where we are going." I walk her to my car and then get into the driver's seat. I drive for a bit and arrive and tell her to close her eyes. I walk around the car and let her put her arm on my shoulder. I guide her to my secret spot.

I let her open her eyes and I hear a gasp from her mouth. It was a spot that had a water fall, a nice green patch of grass, and it was surrounded by tall pine trees. It had a wonderful smell, and it is a gorgeous view. "Wow, it's so nice here." I love making her happy and seeing her smile. "It's my little hide out." "But you showed it to me?" "Yeah, I know I can trust you." "I can fell the pull towards you, but I'm just not ready for another mate, hopefully you can understand this."

"I know, and I can wait as long as you need to. For now, let's just enjoy the view and watch the clouds roll by." "Yes, I haven't done this in a while." We sit, listen, watch, and relax. We start to head back so that they don't start to get worried about us.

Ruby's pov.

I head to the kitchen because I am worn out, my sister decides to stay and talk to mom. Elijah looks like a lost puppy in the kitchen. "Do you need help?" He mumbles a yes and I point to a cabinet. He makes a sandwich and ask if I want one but I just shake my head, I'm not really hungry after that. Then he asks if I want to go and see a nice view for a bit, I say yes just to get away.

When we get there I am told to close my eyes and a few seconds later he is right beside me and he guides me through a forest. When I open my eyes I can't help but gasp. It is so beautiful and nice. He tells me it's his secret spot, "why would you show me this then?" "Because I feel like I can trust you." He trusts me? He barely knows me! I admit I do feel a pull towards him but I don't think I can have a mate right now, it's just too soon. "I'll wait as long as you need to have some time." He is really willing to wait on me? What if he betrays me? What if he rejects me? What if he hurts me? What if... I need to quit thinking like this or else I'll never warm up to him. Wait did I want to warm up to him? Sophia definitely does. But am I ready?

Uh, what is taking her so long! She said she would get into the pack and at least bring one of them here. I swear if she doesn't come through with her side of the deal, then neither will I. She will never get want she wants if I don't get what I want! "Tylor go find out what's taking her so long to get back to me! You better be back in a week or I will hunt you down next!" "Yes Alpha." I swear if she betrays me it will be the last thing she will ever do! I will hunt her down, have my way with her, let other have fun with her, then when she becomes boring and useless I will rip her to shreds!
