Chapter nineteen

Elijah pov.

I had many friends and people who I could ask for help with. I had my stuff and drove to as many people as I could, after four days I went back and joined Christine's pack as we attacked Ethan's pack. We found her in the basement and Christine unchained her from the wall. It looked like she had been through hell, she was very skinning, barely conscious, and had marks all of her.

We took her to the pack doctor as fast as possible to see what the damage was. I can't lose her; she has to make it. While Christine and I was waiting for some news, Seth's pack made sure to kill all of the guilty wolves from Ethan's pack and told the wolves that were left to either join his or Christine's pack or go rogue. Most of them went with him and a few families went with Christine's pack, none of them chose to go rogue. The doctor had come back after an hour and told us, "She sustained multiple injuries to her back and her arms, the tools they used were silver and wolfs bane, which is why she couldn't fight back or shift, they didn't feed her and gave her the bare minimum of water.

She is probably going to be very jumping, she is not going to want anyone to touch her, she is probably going to have a tough time trusting anyone, and it's going to be hard for her to move or do anything physical." My wolf was sad and angry and wanted to just hold our mate and never let go. Ten long hours later, the doctor said she was up and asking for us, so we all went in to the room to talk to her.

Ruby's pov.

It wasn't very long after he had turned off the light that I heard wolves fighting, I tried to yell but my voice was gone and I was too weak, I heard the door bust open, all my friends were here and saving me. I felt the chains be ripped off the wall and a couple people carrying me. I tried to stay awake but darkness soon consumed me. When I woke up I was hooked up to a bunch of machines, the doctor came in and asked how I felt, "Where is everyone?"

The doctor looks at me and says "They are waiting for you to wake up." "Go get them please." He quickly left and a few moments later everyone came into the room. "We were so worried about you; we didn't know how long you were going to be asleep." "How long have I been out." "Ten hours." I stared at them, wow I've been out for only ten hours. "How are you feeling?" "Good as I can get I suppose." "The doctor said you wouldn't be able do to anything physical for a while." "Well screw that I need to walk, I have either been chained up on a wall or chained down on a table, I need to be able to move."

They look at each other, "Fine but you're going to need someone to help you walk." "Ok, now anything happened while I was gone?" "No, we were concentrated on getting you back." "Oh, how did you find out where I was?" "The moon goddess told me." "She talked to you too!" They all looked shocked. "Yeah, what did she tell you?" "Well, she told me, I need to trust her and get an open mind." "This is so cool, the moon goddess talked to both of us." "Can you help me up, I need to use the bathroom." Christine and Elijah come over and help me to the bathroom, I kept feeling sparks as Elijah held me arm.

I used the bathroom at looked in the mirror, I looked horrible, I splashed so water on my face and brushed my hair a little. Then they helped me back on to the bed, "Thanks." "No problem." The doctor came back in and said that they needed to leave so I could get some more rest to heal. "I think I'll be fine right here." The doctor looks at Elijah like he is crazy, "Fine but if you disturb her then I will have to remove you from the room." "Ok." The doctor waits until everyone but Elijah leaves then replaces my IV bag, and then leaves shutting the door on his way out. I start to feel light headed and manage to Elijah "I think that doctor drugged me." before passing out.

Elijah's pov.

"Everyone come quick!" They come into the room, "What!?" "She just passed out and told me she thinks the doctor drugged her!" "He better not have!" "Stay here and watch her! I going to find that doctor!" I ran out the door and followed his scent, it left the building so I kept following it, then I heard talking so I hid and listened. "Yeah, I'm sure it's Ruby, she was rescued from Ethan just like you wanted."

"I know his name is Elijah." "I don't know anything else about him." "How many packs do you have on your side?" "What's so special about this Ruby anyway?" "No, she wasn't raped." "Yes, she is still pure." "I will, she is still weak from what happened." "What time will you be ready?" "Alright, I will have everything ready by then." I heard the click of his phone meaning his talk was over, and he was coming this way. I jumped out at him and knocked him out. I brought him back to Ruby's room and tied him to chair with rope that had silver in it. "Here is the traitor." They all are staring at him, "I caught him on the phone out in the woods talking about Ruby."
