Chapter Forty-Six

Four more chapter and it will be done. There might be book two or a short story to finish up any lose ties. The song is for Ruby rescuing Grace and stopping Elijah from choking the boy.

Recap: I go out side and see my mate...

Ruby's pov.

I can't believe him! He is choking the life out of some poor boy's neck! "ELIJAH! Drop him right now!" He drops the boy and looks at me. "Ruby please just let me explain first!"

"You have thirty seconds to explain why you were trying to kill someone!" "I was walking around checking on people when I hear this boy saying that he was going to try and harm you. When I confronted him about it he asked of it made me jealous and said he was going to have fun with you." "That doesn't mean he deserves death, you should have put him in a cell and we would have had a proper hearing. Now we can't because you almost killed him. We are also probably going to have to apologize to his family."

"I know. It's just my wolf couldn't handle the stress." "Its fine now let's go." "You what's your name?" When I get no answer I use my alpha voice. "I said what is your name!?" "It's Winston." "Where do you live?" Still using my alpha voice so he'll answer me. "Second house down on the J street." "Get up and let's go."

He slowly stands and walks in front of me. It doesn't take long before we get there and I knock on the door. The door open and a young lady steps out. "Hello alpha what's seems to be going on." "Is this your son?" "It is." "We need to talk." "Come right in and have a seat." I take a seat beside my mate and before Winston can run to his room I tell at him.

"Hey get back over here and have a seat!" The lady comes back with her mate and have a seat and her mate speaks up. "What seems to be the problem?" "Well my mate will be the better explained since I was only there for part of this." So he explains everything again and makes sure to stay at a steady pace and when he finished he apologizes and hopes he didn't cause any major damage.

"Well I also knew he would find trouble but I didn't expect this from him" "What have we told you Winston about your behavior?" "That unless I want to go rogue I have to follow the rules." "You very lucky that they just decided to tell us and not go further and make you have another form of punishment." I decided to speak up for a second. "I hope this doesn't happen again. I must be heading out because I have to check on training. Next time there will be a hearing to decide a punishment so I hope this never happens again."

"It won't alpha we'll make sure to keep a closer eye on him from now on." With a nod of my head I open the door and leave the house with my mate following closely behind. When we get back to the pack house I ask Elijah to go help fix supper while I finish up with training. I walk over to the field to see that they have improved from this morning but still need a lot of work. For the next two hours I walk to each person and help them train and give advice. I hear someone tell out that supper is ready I tell everyone to stop and eat.

I walk in the pack house to smell wonderful food. I grab a plate and fill it up. I take the plate and sit next to Elijah and start eating. Once we are both done we walk up to our room for a nice sleep only I wasn't that lucky. I fall asleep to be met with horrible dream. I'm back at my old pack and I'm once again a small defenseless girl. I see a shadow figure walk up to me and start telling awful names and beating me up.

Then dragging me down to a dark room with all sorts of devices. No matter how hard I tried I was just too small to fight against this person. I couldn't escape and it felt like I was going to die. I couldn't seem to snap out of it or wake up. Finally, I feel someone shaking me and wiping my face with a rag. "Thank goodness your awake. I was beginning to worry." "I'm fine it was just a dream and dreams can't hurt me."

"That's right now let's go back to sleep." He turned the light back off but I just laid there. I couldn't go back to sleep after that. I rolled over and shut my eyes but I couldn't just five myself to sleep. I got up and went outside for a run. I shifted to my wolf and just ran lap after lap on the training field. I don't notice the sun coming up until Roman came out and yelled at me. I shifted behind some trees and bushes to put my cloths back on then went back on the training field.

"So how long?" I look at the time. "About four hours" "Of just running laps?" "Yeah I couldn't sleep." "Okay. Well breakfast is almost ready." "Alright I'll be there in just a second." I wait to calm my nerves and just relax a bit before going into the pack house to eat.
