Sunday Afternoon...
Christian Anthony's POV:
I look on...as doctors and nuns attended by Imee's bedside. They have connected a dextrose into her arm she could take medicines easily.
"...sigh...it's my fault why Imee have a fever today." I confessed to Father Jean who is with me. "If I was listening to her about jogging with her earlier this morning, she wouldn't be ended up like this."
"Don't worry, Anthony. She's just adapting to the environment that you introducing to her." Father Jean smiles and cheers me up. "But I'm so proud of you...you defended Imee from those critics...we're all know that she's just doing her job, right?"
"Yes, Father. That was the right thing to do. If I was still a policeman, I could really arrest them for hurting her!"
"Hehehe! Calm down, Anthony. The good thing right now is that...some people have finally realized their mistakes."
We finished our conversation just in time that the doctors have also finished attending Imee. One of them approaches us...
"Everything's fine now, Father. The patient is now on a stable condition."
"Thank you, son."
One by one, Father Jean blesses the doctors before leaving the room. The nuns takes over in taking care of sick little Imee.
"Oh! Hey, Anthony. How about you buy something from the convenience store?" Father Jean makes a favor to me. "Buy something to eat for the nuns...and yeah, give Imee a share, okay?"
"Sure, Father."
Father Jean gives me the money so I could buy some food for the nuns and for Imee and immediately left the room. I'm thinking about what I should buy for them...hmm...snacks? A hotdog sandwich? An ice cream? Or corned beef? I wonder what I should buy for them...huh?
From afar...I saw a pretty lady...with the same eyes...and the same length of hair...she really looked like Imee...and she is looking at me, smiling.
"Umm...milady. May I help you?" Confused, I asked the lady. "Why are you looking at me? Are you lost?"
"Hehehe! Nope!" The lady giggles at me. "I just remember somebody that I know because of your looks."
"Oh, I see..." And from the depths of my mind, I curiously asked her. "Are you something related with Imee Therese Villaflor?"
"Huh? What are you talking about? I don't know who you are referring as Imee Therese! I'm just passing by the church and coincidentally, I saw you." The lady replies with a smile.
"Oh! Ehehehe! My bad!" I scratched my head in embarrassment.
"Come on, let's sit somewhere!"
"Wa-wait!"
