Corpus Christi Sunday

Imee Therese's POV:

"Why are we eating the Holy Eucharist in the first place?"

Right now, I'm doing my usual cathecism classes to the youth. At this point of time, I'm teaching to more than a hundred of them.

"On all the kinds of food that we eat everyday in our lives, the Holy Eucharist is the most important meal that we should eat...for Christ himself has told us that it is the bread of life. In our usual nutrition needs, bread is compared with rice, main staple food. Both of it provided us carbohydrates, which gives us energy to do work everyday. The Holy Eucharist is doing more than just that...It provides us more than energy...it provides us abundance...it provides new life. And it not only is valid for a day, it will last for a lifetime."

"I've always tell you in our previous cathecisms that Our Good Lord that God the Father send us is the testament of how He loves us...that whoever believes in Him will achieve everlasting life; and believing the Holy Eucharist more than just an ordinary food is one way to do it. Remember, we are eating this bread of life and drinking the cup of the blood of life to commemorate the passion and death of Our Good Lord. Because of this, we will never need to offer a lamb to sacrifice to the Lord to forgive us from our sins, because the Lord is our eternal Lamb of God; just like what we say after consecration of the host and wine: 'When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup, we will proclaim Your death, O Lord until You come again.'"

Everyone is taking down notes and ask questions after my sermon. Every since the first miracle that I did during the first communion of the children five months ago, many people having flocking to the church everyday. We are able to open the church everyday so that the faithful say their prayers, recite the rosary...or simple visit and adore the transformed host that becomes the real flesh of a man...which I believe is the heart of Our Good Lord...huh?

Wha-what's happening?! I'm ge-getting dizzy again! My vision begins to be blurry as if I was spinning...my head is aching again...I can feel myself...fainting...

"Ate Imee! Ate Imee!!!"

As the kids rush towards me, my vision soon becomes black...and then, the next thing that I knew...is that I'm standing in the midst of the clouds...surrounded by angels and everybody who has halos over their heads and they are all smiling at me. I know that this is a dream...but this time....it's different as if it tells me that there would be another great wonder that will happen beyond my consciousness...just like the miracles of the sun last Easter.

"Come, my little child."

The angels of the Lord leads the way to the origin of the sweet voice that is calling me. I walk through the path of clouds until I saw at the end of the road...a figure of immense glory...a tall man with a beard, only wears white robes...and has wounds on his hands and feet just like mine. I knew that this man I'm facing into...is the Good Lord.

"My Lord is my Shepherd...I shall not want." I knelt down and bowed in adoration of the Good Lord.

"Arise, my sweet child."

I complied with His sweet voice, quickly approached Him and hugged Him very tightly.

"Thank you, O Good Lord, for accepting me here in Your kingdom." I happily tell him. "I've always looking forward to this day that I can able to see you."

"Come my little child, have some rest." The Good Lord replies to me, smiling. "Help me to show how faith can transform the lives of many."

"Hmm? How come, O Lord. The host transformed into Your flesh is already enough to make the people believe in You."

"Sweetie, belief is not about the transformed host, it's all about who deep it your belief is." The Good Lord explains. "You already know that faith is being moulded by the experiences that is happening in your lives, whether it is good or bad. Such things like the transformed host is just a way of reminding our people that simply...there is God...watching, protecting, taking care all of you...until the time that you are worthy to receive the rewards of Thy Kingdom."

"I see...I understand now, O Good Lord." I smile at him. "Then, let your will be done...and let me help you, as Your servant, to remember Our people of Your presence."

"As you wish, my faithful servant."

The light then begins to shine bright around me...brighter and brighter by the second...until it all turns to black...

I opened my eyes and I was surrounded by children...worrying about me...

"Ate Imee! Are you alright?" A little girl asks me upon waking up. "You have been passed out for half an hour! I make Kuya Anthony run to your room to have your medicines ready!"

"No need, sis. I'm fine, don't worry about me." I smile to ease the child's worries. "How about we finish our cathecism with a prayer so you could go home early."

But...instead of responding to me, I just saw the children staring blankly...as if there's something is happening behind me...

"Umm...kids, what are you looking at? Is there a problem? Is there something that I could help?"

No one responds to my question. Instead a boy turns my wheelchair towards the altar...and I saw it...the one that the Good Lord is telling me in my dream...

The Blessed Virgin, Her spouse St. Joseph, and St. John the Evangelist gathered in one end of the altar. The Blessed Virgin wears white robes and has a crown over Her head...She holds a rosary and She is looking up into the heaven. Mary's spouse Joseph also wears white robes...but looks upon His wife in adoration. St. John, on the other hand, wears white bishops vestments and has a mitre on his head...he has a book and seems to be preaching...

And at the altar, the monstrance that holds the transformed host, currently displayed in adoration, has been slowly transformed into a lamb...yes, the Lamb of God...with a gaping wound on its heart, shedding blood into a chalice...as the seven angels above the lamb sings praises endlessly.

Everyone stops whatever they're doing and saw another wonder that God is giving to all of us...

"Hey, Imee! Please drink your medici-ooh."

Even Anthony, who returns from my room to get my medicines, pauses when he saw this beautiful apparition and knelt down in adoration...

And as all of this happens, the wounds on my hands and feet begins to glow...and I was filled with a mysteriously calming effect within me...now, I truly realize...what the Good Lord had said to me...that these wonders to simply signifies the presence of God in our lives. Thank goodness, the Lord is in the hearts and minds of everyone who believes in Him...that I simply said to myself smiling...

"Thanks be to God."
