Sunday Morning...

Christian Anthony's POV:

"Anthony, being a cathecist does not only involve your knowledge about the sacraments of the church, but also creating strategies on how the gospel will be understandable to all."

Imee is teaching me some secrets on her job as a cathecist. Today is the first day that I will saw her speak about those things to the children.

Her cathecism session will be held in her own room, since the church doesn't have any provisions to buy an electric wheelchair that allows her to roam beyond her room. But regardless, both of us are excited to it is to come today.

"Tok! Tok! Tok!" Then the doors came knocking before it opened...it was Father Jean, accompanied with some little kids.

"Guys, this is Ate Imee. She would be your teacher for today." Father Jean introduces her to the kids. "She's in bed because she's a bit sick. But don't worry though, she's strong enough to teach you. Please behave when your Ate Imee speaks, okay?"

"Yes, Father." The kids replied in unison, just in time for Imee to begin her session.

Imee Therese's POV:

"Good morning, kids!"

"Good morning, Ate Imee!" The children quickly replied to my greeting.

I started the day with asking them how was their mornings...what did they eat earlier for breakfast...how young there are...and their personal opinions about what will they expect from me. Regardless how good or bad their responses are...from my experiences as a student council president and a Girl Scout, talking about random off-topic stuffs will make the audience motivated for the main topic.

"Alright, kids. Do you know what is the Gospel of the day is?" As expected, the children has no idea about today's readings. "Okay, our Gospel for the day is from the book of St. Matthew. My assistant, Anthony, will read it for you."

And so Anthony reads the passage from the Bible. It's all about the Beatitudes, the eight blessings that our Lord is proclaimed when He began the Sermon at the Mount.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
 Blessed are those who mourn,
    for they will be comforted.
 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they will be filled.
 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart,
    for they will see God.
 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

"Okay, what does our Good Lord is telling us here? This are the kinds of people the He is chosen...they are simply blessed by Him...for they will find joy, peace and glory in heaven. Everybody is welcome to enjoy such joy, peace and glory in heaven...even you, children, to whom Our Father is very pleased."

I continued to explain the verse to the children. "Children, if you're facing difficult challenges and problems, don't lose your hope and faith to the Lord. For the Lord doesn't place this problems without a purpose...this part of your lives are there to shape you for the better...you just need to stand affirm to your faith...pray more, believe more to Him.
