Holy Trinity Sunday

Christian Anthony's POV:

"You know, Imee, you are blessed. You have able to find yourself somebody that will love, take care and protect you."

"Ehehehe...Father, please don't say that." Imee blushes a bit and giggles. "Everybody has a chance to have a love, you know."

"Hmm...Father, is this something to do with the story you are supposed to tell last week?" Catherine, joining our conversation, asked him.

"Well...you got me." Father Jean smiles at me. "You might say that....I'm one of the those people who...lost when it comes to love life."

"Go on, Father. Tell us what you want to talk about."

With my motivation...our good Father Jean begins to tell his story.

"Thirty years ago, long before I become a priest, I was a college student in a prestigious university not far from this church. I was a top honor student...just like you, Imee, I ranked first in all subjects that I take, ranging from mathematics, sciences and any grammar courses. Then one time, as part of our curriculum, we traveled to Quezon to have a retreat. That's where it started...."

Father Jean's POV: (Thirty Years Ago)

"Buksan ang inyong mga mata, kahit may luha...
Mamahalin pa rin kita
At tutulungan lumaya..."

(Open your eyes, even it has tears...
I will still love you...
And help you to be free...)

This song has been ringing over my head tonight...I feel awful about what Claire is going into. I remember how she cried during our retreat sharing...

"My status in my life is...sinking and searching for a sign..." That's what Claire said. "As you can see...I have a lot of work that has been bothering me...everyday there are deadlines, hard assignments...sniff...sudden problems...sniff...arguments with my classmates...sniff...I'm trying to handle all of them...sniff...I'm trying to handle my patience...sniff...but...I..I can't take it anymore! It's too difficult! I always telling God...why?! Why is this keeps on happening to me?!?!"

And that's when I started to formed a sense of special feeling...it's not like having her to be my girlfriend...but to help her as a start.

"Hey, Jean! You should pursue Claire right now." One of my best friends motivated me. "She's cute, she's kind...she's even in the dean's list!"
