Back to the scene in the Prologue
Christian Anthony's POV:
"Imee and I lived together for the next thirty years..."
Finally, I starting to end my story about how my loving wife, St. Imee Therese, changed my life...
"After we get married, we decided to tour around the country to spread the power of love and faith of the Lord. People turn back to the church and have their sins forgiven. Some of them were cured by Imee because of their surrender to the wonders of God...every prayer of those who believed to the Good Lord were answered from the most impossible ones...like reviving those who have just died and finding long lost loved ones...to the simple ones...like a simple blessings. Because of this, our followers grow...from our group of five friends in this simple convent, it grew into a million for the next thirty years...and I'm proud that you're one of them."
"Yes, Lolo Ton-Ton. We are really proud that I was taught by the likes of you and Ate Imee." The blushing girl from earlier comments. "But...you know...I'm still longing...I mean, we're still longing for Imee."
"Yeah. It's been a decade since Ate Imee left us but...I still miss her beautiful face, her sweet and calming voice, and her unwavering dedication to all of us." The boy from the group added. "She taught the same way that she did to you, Lolo Ton-Ton. She interpret the Good News not only by her words, but also by her extraordinary encounters with God, her sufferings brought by her extremely frail body...and the most striking of them all...is her sweet smile that she bravely shows...in times of our great troubles and problems...her smile always reminds us that God is with us...in this case, through Ate Imee. I will never see a likes of her for the rest of my life..."
Her brave smile...I always admire her brave smile...
She smiles when she almost died after receiving the Holy Eucharist when I first met her...
She smiles as she endures the pain from the spasms of her lifeless legs...and later on the wounds of her hands and feet...
She smiles after being scrutinized by so many people, and yet she forgave her enemies and changed the paths of their lives...
She smiles even the demon crucified her by choking her and giving her the worst nightmare of her life...
She smiles as her spirit briefly lefts her body...to liberate the lost souls that only she could see...
She smiles...as she sacrifice her whole heart, body and soul to God...to share the passion of the Good Lord...for the sake of her mission to bring hope and faith to the people...
And even in her last breath, she smiled...as she finally come home to the Lord...
"...sigh...I remember that last time she smiled...before she died nine years ago." Suddenly, my heart speaks out for myself. "She suffered a massive heart attack while we taught cathecisms together with a group of young men, women and children. She knew that her time has come to return home to the Lord, that's why she wanted to die in the same room where I met her..."
"Catherine, Evangeline, Cherry, Joshua, Kyle, Father Jean and I surrounded her in her bed...everyone of us was sobbing...as Imee awaits for her time to go...I was almost close to tears back then...but Imee wakes up...I saw her eyes went blind again...but regardless, she smiled at me. She moved her mouth...her voice never heard out. But I know what she is trying to tell me:
"Don't be sad. I will find a happy place for you. Smile, I want you to smile. For My Good Lord made me smile because God has made my life complete. I know in my heart...that God will bring something else more for you...and you are brave enough to protect what I've started. O Good Lord...thank You for the mission that You gave to me. I will never ever forget this wonderful experience with You and the people that I met...especially my guardian and my love...Anthony. Till death...I will honor and glorify you...forever...and ever...A...men..."
