14th Sunday of Ordinary Time

Imee Therese's POV:

"AAAAAAAAH!!!!!"

"EEEEEEK!!!" I was startled and abruptly woken up by a loud shriek in my room. I looked around...and I saw Anthony, breathing heavily.

"Hey, what's the problem?" I calmly asked him. "Do you have a nightmare? Is there something that I could help?"

"Well...yeah. I have a nightmare...there was a shadowy figure...appeared before me. He has a long rifle...and it is pointed at you. I run towards you to rescue you...but it was a trap...he shot me many times in my chest and in my head. I thought I was gonna die...I thought I'm gonna lose you again...but I woke up."

"I hope you're okay now." I comforted him. But you know, I have a dream, too.."

I was standing above the clouds...but it's different...the cloud above me is dark...as if something will happen really bad...and it is. An angel suddenly appeared before me. The angel then told me that...there will a grave danger that will happen in this town. There would be an explosion...a bloody gunfire...and a man in white will be gunned down. When I expressed fear about the danger, the angel told me that believing God, whatever happens, will always prevail.

"I see...does our dreams connected with each other?" Anthony asks me with concern. "And who is this man in white will be? Will anyone of us will die? Will I die?"

"Geez, please, Anthony. Please stop thinking about that." I stop my love from getting more negative thoughts. "God would never allow anyone to be killed because of that. How about we pray the rosary to ease our worries?"

"Sure. Thank you, Imee."

Christian Anthony's POV:

I recited the Rosary so many times today...I attended all the masses for the day...make a confession to Father Jean...I did my all...but this discomfort has never left my heart...and that male my friends worry about me...

"Hey, bro." Joshua approached after the mass. "You seem so troubled. Is there a problem?"

"Well...I don't know if this is a problem or not. But...something keeps bothering me for the entire day."

Then I tell to my friend the bad dream that I had earlier this morning. But he seems to be unaffected by the premonitions that comes in my dream.

"Huh? I don't understand. Why you don't feel any discomfort?" I asked my friend in conclusion. "I mean...what if that dream will come true? What if I get killed?"

"Relax, Anthony. As if it will really happen in the first place." Joshua assures me. "Dreams are not bound to be happen...nor you didn't have the power to dictate your own fate. You should know that your girlfriend Imee once told me that...nobody will know the future...only God the Father knows how will it turn out."

"...sigh...maybe I was thinking too much." Then I smiled at Joshua. "Thanks for reminding me, Joshua."

"No problem, bro. How about we hangout together with your girlfriend and forget about that bad dream of yours, would you?"

"Yes, certainly."

Imee Therese's POV:

Joshua and Anthony accompanied me in the public park near the church so my love could breathe some fresh air and forget the nightmare that he has this morning.

"Well...I told you that you should don't mind about that dream, okay?" I winked at Anthony. "Let's just think about how we able to help the youth in spreading the Good News to the rest of the region."

"Yeah, she's right." Joshua added. "You need to help Imee in her work, you know?"

"Hehehe! You're right..."

But despite all efforts to comfort him, Anthony still can't get over that his fear that the nightmare that he has will really happen. Well, it's time to I let God teach him...

"Anthony, do you remember the Gospel that Father Jean preached earlier? You didn't taken that for granted, would you?"

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

"Of course not. I didn't took that for granted!" My love refutes to me.

"Well then, you should forget about that problem right now. Let God ease your worries and let Him take care of that problem for you. You should always remember that God is the master of your fate...the captain of your...our ships! So if fate gets tough...if the seas of life gets waves on your boat, don't be afraid....don't be sacred. You just need to stay put...just hang on on your boat...and let God steer the wheel back to safety. I don't know whether our dreams this morning will come true or not but...let me tell you one thing...I'm sure... I'm very sure....that the Lord will never harm us all."

As I looked at Anthony's eyes and giggled, I saw Anthony take a deep sigh and reciprocate with his bright smile.

"Maybe, I'm thinking about it too much. Hehehe!" Anthony reacts and chuckles. "Thank you, guys. Thank you, Imee."

"You're welcome, my love."

And the talk goes on and on while we are strolling along the park. Joshua have told me that the date of his baptism to our church is already set...and it is next Sunday. I'm so excited about it!

"That's great, Joshua! Hehehe!" I giggled in glee. "You should know that there are more perks and privileges a Catholic believer like can have as compared with a random shopping geek. Hehehe!"

"Hehehe! I'm so looking forward to that." My friend laughed at me and replied.

"But seriously speaking, there's a loads of stuff you could enjoy once you are baptised in our church. First of all, there would be a lot more of kind people that you could befrien-uuugh!!!"

Then suddenly, I felt a quick but sharp pain in my chest, as if I was tried to asphyxiate by somebody. Because of that, I felt dizzy and lost balance...

"Imee!!!" I was falling to my lap when Anthony and Joshua catches me. "Imee, are you alright?!"

"Yeah...I think so." I replied as I try to recompose myself. "I feel something...something is wrong..."
